Proof of Feelings

We all know that we all have brains, it's right up there and all of them look similar. Yet, we are required to prove it. You would not get good grades unless you prove that you deserve or you would not get a good upvote here just by saying "I have brains!". You have to prove to everyone that what you have is fully functional and acceptable.

Imagine, if something so obvious as a brain needs to be proved, intangibles can't go without proof for sure.

I'm talking here about Feelings. Feelings are expressions that are intangible and hence have to be explicitly shown to the other person. When we say we feel for the other person, it doesn't only come by words, it has to be proven with our actions.

In fact, feelings work the other way round. You don't really have to say them aloud. All you need is to express with your actions, ensure the other person gets what you feel. What you have inside is what should reflect in your attitude and behaviour towards the other person.

Some people are not expressive, they fail to prove their feelings. It's a common and genuine concern but must be worked out. Because as I mentioned above, feelings have to be felt and one has to work towards that.

How to express?

  1. Describe your feelings - You have to open up and explain what you have inside. If you have difficulty facing the person, a text or a letter should work.
  2. Mirror work - You can practice your expressions in front of a mirror if you have doubts or need some preparation. Mirror practice gives you a lot of confidence. If you are able to face yourself, you can face the world.
  3. Take the Spiritual route - There's a lot of strength in spirituality. If you need an extra nudge in terms of expressing your emotions, use it for yourself.

Give heed to your feelings, let them come out and flow. Your feelings describe who you are, don't hide that from the world.
