Know how to eat Jamun fruit

Jamun fruit is my favorite fruit. I like the Abrasion taste it has. It is also said that we shouldn't be eating the fruit raw. Especially the indian variety. The season for Jamun fruit is slowly starting and it will last for another two years. It is one of the highly nutritious fruits. Anything that is purple in color is more nutritious than we can imagine.

There is a small procedure to eat this fruit. We have to first take the fruits in the boul and wash it very well. After washing, drain the water completely and sprinkle table salt. A decent amount of table salt can be sprinkled on them. The Abrasion taste will be converted to sweet taste if we soak them in salt for a few hours.

Let it be there in the salt for like few hours. You will be able to see the bowl filled with water that comes from the fruit because of the salt we added to the fruit. Not all the time we would be getting this water coming out of the fruit. It can only be well soaked in the salt. That water should not be consumed and it should be thrown out. Now take the fruits one by one and taste them. It will be sweet and sour as well.

This is the procedure to eat Jamun fruit. Usually the non-tropical variety of Jamun fruits will be sweet by nature. The tropical variety needs this treatment before eating. Salt is an excellent addition to this fruit to make it tastier.
