Y'hello Hivers! I am glad to join this community and my first post is here. @Kemmyb post inspires me to check this community and I found it interesting to see QOTW and I hope to keep getting along here.
The question: how to deal with stress.
As a student, I do many things at a time and this has always affected me emotionally and physically. Going for classes and walking miles away from home to school, then coming back home to meet other assignments to do and you wouldn't want to leave anything except you would be doubling your activities for the next day. I am always overstressed at the end.
Stress is something natural that occurs in a person but it becomes an illness when you aren't in control of it. Stress can kill when you aren't giving yourself the best rest you need. So many people are always stressed and wouldn't find time to rest. They will be like "I need money, I need to complete this as soon as possible"etc The body needs rest and you have to find ways to de-stress.
I am a kind of person that overstress myself and at the end, I am so weak to do other things and before I know it, I am in the dreamland. Most times, I deal with stress in my own simple way as I wouldn't want to leave other things undone. The best three ways I deal with stress are;
LISTENING TO MUSIC:
Have you heard Music is part of life? It boosts your system and make you relax. This is what I do too and when I listen to music, I feel relaxed and I get energized again, when I have done that for few minutes. There are different life lifting soul's music I listen to such as Don Meon, Hillsongs and some Nigerian Gospel Artist songs. This way, you can deal with stress in a little time.
Have you been stressed that you feel you need to be grateful for all you have? At least it is when you are alive, you experience stress. Being grateful for life is something that can ease your stress. When you don't know what to do other than appreciating God for what you have presently. Showing gratitude will make God give you other things you requested and help you reduce your stress at that moment.
PAUSE FOR A WHILE
If you do not give your body the rest it needed, it will affect you. You can break down and find yourself in the hospital and spending money against your budget. When I feel stressed, I leave those things immediately and rest for a while. In this way, I feel relaxed and find myself energized and wanting to do more work for that day.
These are the three things I do to de-stress and it has been helping me.
