The availability of technology and its countless advantages make this life what it is today, the new generations are taking advantage of the use of technology for their recreation and learning; and their social interest is increasing day by day, a new vision of the world is posed each time that advances in the technological area, trapping more and more people within the grid, the grid that by itself is already captivating and fascinating.

Even though belonging to the grid implies moral risks, economic risks (electronic scams), loss of privacy and the vulnerability that participating in massive networks implies, etc., one can live within the grid, interacting in diverse environments is one of the most significant skills of this era.

This society is oriented towards visibility, it has been transforming the history of humanity bringing positive and not so positive consequences in all possible spaces, where technology and superficializes have been a spearhead for this transformation, that's why running away, escaping, getting out of the grid represents a very minority percentage, it's like an owl wanting to have a more efficient daylight life.

Living off the grid has its advantages and disadvantages like everything else in life, the question is: what weighs more in your balance? Where does your personal and family satisfaction lean? These are questions of strong power in the final decision, to go out of the grid is like the captive bird that saw itself free and spread its wings with fear: with fear for the habit of captivity; with fear for the inexperience and lack of knowledge of the environment that surrounds it, logically all this is an initial part of the flight, but after some time, confidence comes and freedom is invaluable.

To believe is one thing and to be is another: there are those who think that to live from what you sow is an easy task, it is not so, it requires hard work and collaboration of others if it is something somewhat extensive, however each mouthful of harvested food is more delicious, feeling self-sufficient raises the good ego of people.

Today the inability to be alone is notorious, by the same wave of the internet, the fact of living nowadays as families scattered around the extensive planet, has increased the use of technology to keep in communication, this, compared to living outside the grid, is something totally different: the silence and peace you feel makes it seem like another part of the world, this is another point in its favor.

The coronavirus has generated a global crisis transforming the human mind in some way, modifying each cell, and many people have been able to maintain their stability with the use of their creativity and good vibes, but unfortunately this takes more time than we thought, and often the value of products is overvalued, especially in these areas of the world, where every day the same product increases its value shamelessly.

On the other hand, and what is interesting about all this, is that at the cost of the pandemic, new work models have arisen with the use of the Internet, which have given the opportunity to grow from home, in family and with the family, as well as new forms of study through the Internet: students contact their teachers through the Internet, by WhatsApp, Telegram or other social networks. In these examples you can see the benefits of not living off-grid.

In my environment I see very creative people, my mother, my mother-in-law and some others, have done small sowings within the living space: chili, cilantro, chives, and, if you have some land in your backyard, you can plant banana, lemon, among others; creating a means to get a little of what is needed, and these people live within the grid but still seek alternatives to cope, and many people in the world are good role models, with the crisis have shown so much talent, and despite the shortcomings, have managed to increase their level of knowledge to take advantage of resources, in addition to everything use a lot of recycling, and that is positive.

What I mean by all this is that it is a matter of conscience, hope and creativity, because even living on the net one can get the best of oneself and of the spaces, in my humble opinion, I take a risk with an option because I feel that I am already living it; I believe that a hybrid can be created: bringing to the grid what you love from outside the grid:

  • Spiritual tranquility is not given to you by the place as such (I am aware that it influences), and no matter where you are, it belongs to you.

  • To take care of yourself or not to take care of yourself is your decision, as well as how committed you are to your loved ones, to others and to yourself.

  • Political conflict, and the consequences of living so close to it, is a terrible thing that touches you even when you are far away.

  • Create small plantings in the space you have in your yard, plant in pots, and even living in an apartment you can make vertical pots.

It is part of reality:

Some will think that a disadvantage of living outside the grid is the lack of hospitals or health modules, but in my country that does not make a difference, in both cases we get sick, moreover, I recognize that people who live outside the grid are healthier, live longer, are more active: it is the contact with nature, the wisdom they acquire from the benefits of plants, the silence that fills them with peace and the purity of the air they breathe.

To conclude:

I love nature because I had contact with it for much of my childhood, and I believe that living off the grid would help lessen the scourge of the pandemic in many ways.
