I sometimes wonder how people forsake the lives of other people, instead of discussing lives they discuss money, how is money better than life?
That question I have failed to get an answer to.
INSECURITY
An alarming issue in the country, the story that trends from unknown gunmen to bandit down to herdsmen.
All these are names that whenever they are mentioned in my country, the summary for the headline will be insecurity but one annoying thing about it is that they pay less attention to what seems to be claiming the lives of people over counting of figures that increase without it actualizing itself.
It is always one corona task force meeting or another all these because there is always a sitting allowance given to anyone delegated to sit for such meeting, so you can see it is all about the money, not even the lives.
And yet there has never been any meeting as in regards to this particular issue of insurgency.
Counting how many people were infected with coronavirus, how many people were discharged and how many died of the dreadful disease has always been the other of the day and also part of every news broadcast.
Please don't quote me wrong coronavirus needs to be tackled for sure but the issue of insurgency in the country is even more dreadful as the case needs to be tackled effectively to ensure peoples lives are saved.
You can Imagine a Brigadier General been kidnapped in the military cantonment in my country this is to tell you how dreadful this insecurity issue is in my country. With all the armies surrounded he is still taken, if such a person with a high profile can be kidnapped what will you say about the common man.
Here you will see and hear headlines of how school children are been carried by these people in hundreds, how travellers are been carried away while on their way, village people been carried away while on the farm.
Nowhere seems to be safe but, the safety doesn't matter any longer.
What matters is the number of infected persons, number of discharged persons, number of dead people and how the vaccine is moved in millions to the country and so on.
Since there is a vaccine I will advise that they talk less about that which has already been settled and talk more about that which is gradually ravaging the country.
