Hello everyone, seeing this topic today I began to think of the similarity between technology and religion, and also the differences between both.
In my own opinion, technology and spirituality can both live together but it depends on how you use technology to access spirituality.
Although there is a vast difference between technology and spirituality, one thing I want you to know is that religion spreads like wildfire through technology. Centuries ago, the spread of religion which is the basis of spirituality was hindered due to communication. printed books and materials where those things are written were carried from one place to another. There was a time when the spiritual books were read only in particular places of worship either church or mosque in those days.
There was no medium to convey messages to other regions or countries because the messengers had to travel either by camel or other mediums.
The power of technology is a major factor behind the spread of religion in this era. Today, I connected to different religious gatherings in the world and it is just like I am in the same venue worshiping.

Technology is a game changer in spirituality: I don't want to be biased, different cultures have been promoted through technology. There was a time when I never knew anything about the cultures of some regions and countries until I started watching television, listening to the news, and reading news from different social media. This was how I came across some culture and the date to be celebrated.
There was a day a man gave a testimony that on that faithful Sunday, he came from a far country and gave the testimony in the church, I couldn’t remember the country he came from.

He said, “ I have never gone to church in my life, I am a drug addict. I transport drugs to other countries and also take them.
“After a long time of dealing with drugs, I started to have health issues which took 90% of my money. I have been admitted to different hospitals, there was no solution for them. I was living my life with prescribed drugs and weekly check-ups. Sometimes, my breath ceased for a moment, due to that condition; i was given a breathing machine to use which i used most times.
I was booked for another operation because my heart no longer functions properly and the operation has to be done within 2 months if I still want to be alive.
“On that faithful Sunday, I was scrolling my phone and a video popped up on my youtube. I clicked the video and saw a man given testimony of healing with the same health conditions I was suffering. The man brought the same breathing machine I was using and said, ‘for the past 3 months, I have not used any drug neither under this breathing machine’.
“I was worried in my spirit and concluded that since this man got healed I can be healed also. I watched the service to the end. I saw different types of sickness-curable and incurable, I saw how the man of GOD was lying hand on them.
“The next Sunday, I was eager to watch again, and I emailed the church website of my letter of visitation. After 3 weeks my request was granted, I booked a flight and went to the church in nigeria, i was ushered into a church hotel. I was curious to see the man of God but the hotel attendant told me that the man of God will come tomorrow morning which is saturday to pray for every sick person in the church auditorium.
“The man of GOD came in the morning to pray for all sick people. That was a time where I saw some people's health conditions are worse than mine. He laid hand on me and ‘be healed’. Nothing happened to me at that moment.
“On the Sunday after preaching, he came again and laid his hand on me and I left the country after 5 days. Fews days later, I discovered that my breathing system was stabilized, I was able to sleep throughout the night without my breathing machine, and I was able to breathe very well without using the machine.
“I went to the hospital to check myself, after the various tests and scanning. The doctors asked me ‘how did I do it?’ He said ‘my heart is like a baby’. They ran a test for the second time, the result was the same as the first one.
“He called me to the office and asked me that there are people with your condition here and they are numerous, some are about to die, your condition was among the worst cases here. What did you do?
“I told him that it was God that healed me, he said I have many people you will take there for God to heal them” said Campbell.
The whole line of the story is that, through technology, lives have been saved and the dead man came back alive. We are living in a world that is interconnected, technology can not be taken out of spirituality, and spirituality can not be taken out of technology. Both are interconnected in one area or others.
Some of the scientists behind the development of technology were inspired spiritually.
Edward Fredkin, he was an apostle and also artificial intelligence researcher. He said that he sees the world we are living in as a ‘great computer’ . He made an effort to write a global algorithm that could have led to joy and peace in the world.

Spirituality and technology were created to solve human problems. God or gods is behind spirituality and the aim of it is to make the world easy for us to live. That was the reason most of the messengers are speaking peace to lives. You visit GOD or gods to seek peace, harmony and joy and that is spirituality.
There are many scientists that got the ideas of their experiment and research through spirituality. They got the research through meditation or other forms of spiritual activities, their theory still exists till today.
technology was created to solve humans’ problems by mankind. Starting from manufacturing little things to sophisticated things, the aims are to solve humans’ problems. Without a knife in your kitchen, it would be difficult for you to cook in the kitchen. This is because as small and a simple technologically knife is, you need it in your kitchen. The world has gone technologically,
Technology is part of our lifestyle, spirituality is also part of our lifestyle.
Therefore , the development of technology was aimed for our betterment in all aspects of our lives.
For me, both technology and spirituality are intertwined, which simply means they go hand-to-hand.
The big difference between is that spirituality is a God-made to bring peace to the earth, while technology is man-made to bring peace to the earth.
Everything that has advantages must have disadvantages. The adverse effect of using technology in the wrong way is also bad to spirituality. Vehicles were made for easy transportation from one place to another: if you start using your vehicle to kill a person intentionally, you are using that vehicle in a wrong way which will also have adverse effects on your spirituality such as emotional problems, fear of being catch by police, and war in your mind. Hence, using technology in a negative way will also affect your spirituality. .
