Anyway, we must push on. There is no time to lose!! Of course there's no time, we made that concept up to feel the sense of urgency that something must be done before "it" runs out.
Enough with the nonsensical talk! Let's get down to good old school pragmatism as knowing whether time is real or not doesn't get my feet warmed up 😡
Welcome to another day of this adventure. This is how the entrance to the shelter is looking these days. Winter wasn't as demanding as it could have been, and I'm grateful. Most of my time has been spent making firewood and burning it to keep warm so there hasn't been much time for blogging or progress.
Nonetheless, I've gotten some upgrades. With V we recycled the workbench from the streets of town. Along with that big stump left behind by the road workers, they have made my firewood cutting process a lot easier and more comfortable.
The structure you see is what will be used as a kitchen space where you can do an open fire as it will not be completely closed so the smoke can vent out. As you can appreciate I've been gathering lots of zinc plates, which will be handy in the roofing.
I had already shown you this kitchen space in a previous post but there are some adittions such as the cabinet and a pot hanger.
This is actually the easiest and quickest method to heat up water I've tried so far. Nicely surprised by the results, besides the nice feeling of doing things outdoors by the fire.

Now that the winter has almost passed and spring is coming in, I can begin to relax a bit on gathering firewood and perhaps get more into blogging again, as well as advance faster with the shelter.
I'm thinking of doing shorter updates like this one so that I don't loose rhythm here. Stay tuned, lots of nice stuff coming up!

Hola, habitantes del multiverso. Solo otro dron de exploración programado por Google reportandose por aquÃ. Mierda, el futuro está aquÃ, ¿no? Es posible que hayas pensado por un momento que esto era cierto. Hasta yo pensé que era cierto por un segundo.
De todos modos, debemos seguir adelante. ¡¡No hay tiempo que perder!! Por supuesto que no hay tiempo, inventamos ese concepto para sentir la sensación de urgencia de que algo debe hacerse antes de que "se acabe".
¡Ya basta de hablar hueas! Volvamos al buen pragmatismo de la vieja escuela, ya que saber si el tiempo es real o no no me calienta los pies 😡
Bienvenidos a otro dÃa de esta aventura. Asà luce la entrada al refugio estos dÃas. El invierno no fue tan exigente como podrÃa haber sido, y estoy agradecido. La mayor parte de mi tiempo la he pasado haciendo leña y quemándola para mantenerme en calor, por lo que no ha habido mucho tiempo para escribir blogs o progresar.
No obstante, obtuve algunas actualizaciones. Con V reciclamos el banco de trabajo de las calles del pueblo. Junto con ese gran muñón que dejaron los trabajadores de la carretera, han hecho que mi proceso de corte de leña sea mucho más fácil y cómodo.
La estructura que ves es la que se usará como espacio de cocina donde puedes hacer un fuego abierto, ya que no estará completamente cerrada para que el humo pueda salir. Como se puede apreciar, he estado reuniendo muchas planchas de zinc que serán útiles en el techado.
Ya habÃa mostrado este espacio de cocina en un post anterior pero hay algunas adiciones como el mueble y una percha para ollas.
Este es el método más fácil y rápido para calentar agua que he probado hasta ahora. Gratamente sorprendido por los resultados, además de la agradable sensación de hacer cosas al aire libre junto al fuego.
Otra vista de cómo va la cocina.
Ahora que el invierno casi ha pasado y la primavera está llegando, puedo comenzar a relajarme un poco en la recolección de leña y tal vez volver a bloguear más, asà como avanzar más rápido con el refugio.
Estoy pensando en hacer actualizaciones más cortas como esta para no perder el ritmo aquÃ. ¡Estén atentxs, muchas cosas buenas por venir!
