Welcome to the new QOTW, and this week we seek to retune our thinking to be open and receptive so that we can harness and create great abundance in our lives. You may have heard the saying, 'if it sounds too good to be true it probably IS'. This saying is often applied to people who are making a decision based on trust, with a potential upside .. such as a free lunch! There is another similar saying that there is no such thing as a free lunch! ... Tell that to the Hare Krishna devotees! Whilst it is fair to say that there are times when something sounds simply too good to be true, and is some kind of scam. In fact, only yesterday my good friend emailed me with an urgent message that Elon Musk is giving away free bitcoin. All you have to do is sent him 1 BTC and he will return you 2 BTC. Yeah right! When its a scam its a scam, and there are many unfortunate people who have fallen fowl to the myriad of scams that have been running the circuit since money was invented. Nevertheless, i can count on two hands the number of times i have been scammed or mistrusted someone.. but I need 1000 fingers to count the number of times people have helped me and gifted me things that sound too good to be true, and they weren’t!
So, this week I invite you to share a story about yourself or someone else that may or may not know. It should be about a time when something they received sounded too good to be true, but wasn't. It can be any kind of story about anything that happened where something amazing happened because you trusted someone and they didn't let you down. This is a time to rebalance our fears with our reality, so that we can reaffirm that good things do happen, but its only when we know when to trust and be open that we can truly receive.
I hope you join us this week, and inspire each other to keep our eyes open for serendipity and to grab it with both hands when it presents itself. I wish you a beautiful blessed day, and hope that good fortune comes your way very shortly.. just don't miss it! ;-)
