ecoTrain QOTW Awards Post! What Do We Fear, Why Do We Fear?!

qotw8-7a.jpg

Thank you to all of around 70 of you who joined us this week for the final part of Season 8! I'm really happy that i extended it to include this very important question. I think your responses say a lot, and also the passion and quality of your posts really stood out this week. Fear is something each and every one of us has to contend with in life. We all respond differently to Fear, and we each have developed ways to work with it, and even overcome it. I think that even just speaking about our greatest fears is a powerful exercise and lets us bring out into the light things we may not have thought about before. It was so good to read many personal stories, and so many different aspects of fear. As always, choosing just 5 or 6 winners was a tough challenge, but with ecoTrain is not just about writing the 'best' post, because that is matter of opinion. We also like to welcome and encourage our new friends, and having a bit of Hive power as a newcomer makes it much easier to post and comment!

So thank you all again for such an amazing response! That brings to an end Season 8, and just in time with the end of our annual season as many of us get ready to let of 2021, and welcome in 2022. Its fair to say that collectively we've all seen more Fear in one way or another this past year so I really wish you all a fearless and beautiful 2022. Everything we really need we have all around us,we just have to trust and know our own self. As a wise man once said:

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, . ... As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." (Inaugural Speech of Nelson Mandela)

Thank you all for being here and have a VERY happy new year. Look out for a brand new Season 9 QOTW coming very soon. You have helped me to decide what the topic is, and i will be revealing what it is very soon!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS!!!

fear is a human-perceived emotion that has a strong effect on our mind and body. Fear is the threat of injury from emotional, psychological or fantasy. The fear itself is when you make a shadow or remind yourself of what does not exist.

Many people do not really know what they are afraid of and why. We all have something different that scares us. Some have a natural fear that prevents them from sleeping alone in the house, walking alone. Some are afraid of heights, darkness, people, ghosts, witches, walking alone in the yard. But with all these, it still did not define the real cause of fear and why, without asking more people. That’s why I have to put things the right way by asking different people before jumping into my writting, to know people biggest fearb and reasons for their fears. Those are the interviewer's name and their fears.

Have you ever loved someone so much that it made you cry?"

That was exactly the type of love I had for Sophia. We have been lovers way back as high school. I loved Stella with all my heart, body and soul. Unfortunately the forces that be have never wanted us to be together.

When I was much younger, I never had interest in girls. I never believed in love either. I always thought that love was overrated and more of a means for girls to enslave boys and drain them of their money.

Being a very handsome boy [According to my mom], The girls were always lurking. Most times, I notice girls trying to get my attention but I always ignored them. I preferred to hang out with my boys, because they had no problem, we reasoned alike and we had the same hobbies.

On a sunny afternoon, after school I was heading home with my guys, The weather was pretty hot, so I decided to stop and get ice cream. My friends waited for me at a distance while I walked to the bus to purchase the ice cream. Immediately I paid the seller and turned to leave, a girl who was running and answering a call at the same time bumbed into me, spilling the whole Ice cream on my T-shirt. This got me really angry.

There are so many things to fear, and this is at the root of many people’s inaction. Fear is the basis of anxiety, which for many of us can be paralyzing at times. Experiencing fear is a normal part of being human. There are probably some individuals who don’t experience fear, and they probably don’t live very long. After all, there are people who don’t experience physical pain, and they don’t live long. It sounds like it would be wonderful, but it is actually a terrible thing. Pain gives us information, from the little things such as when we should shift position while sitting to big things like moving our hand out of a fire. Important information! Fear is Valuable Information Similarly, fear is important information.

If we were in a dangerous situation and we felt no fear, we might not act correctly to save ourselves. On the other hand, it is important not to be ruled by fear, and it is easy to get overwhelmed by it because it is such a powerful emotion.

One of the things I do as part of my professional work (outside of playing on Hive is) I support clients to understand themselves using their birth information and what that can tell us about them. The system or tool I use for this part of my work is called "Human Design" and it tells us about the 'nature' (rather than the 'nurture') part of our personality. When I enter a clients' birth data into the Human Design software, it creates a chart which is essentially a pictorial representation of that person and who they were born to be. And immediately I can see the things they most likely fear, every day, like it's an engrained part of their very being.

There are 7 main fears that Human Design teaches us that we, as humans are designed to experience:

  1. Fear of being inadequate or not good enough
  2. Fear of the future or the unknown
  3. Fear of the past repeating itself
  4. Fear of failing our responsibilities (related to family)
  5. Fear of failure (in relation to work or business or money)
  6. Fear that life has no meaning or that you'll die without making your life meaningful, and
  7. Fear that you aren't perfect or won't get something right

All of us will experience these fears from time to time; as the planets move (and affect us) and as we share space with different people and their energy field (aura) impacts ours. But almost everyone is designed to experience at least one of these regularly, and a tiny number of people will experience all of them, running in the background, all the time.

Fear has been proposed to be an instict used for protection fro and prevention of danger. A few animalistic experince as seen it to have averted danger as an animal sprinting off at the sight of impending death may have actualy saved its life, however, the animal then refuses to go out roming for food because of the fear that a lion is out there.

A lion is out there, also looking for what to eat and prey on, formulating its agenda and hhow to catch the weak, theh swiift and the heavy. No one is above its catch.

In these series of questions that have been coming concerning actions, why we dont act, what limits actions and now what exactly we fear and why. it has been a series that has caught my interest and I have loved participating in it. However, last week, I was down with the virus just after I had shot the video response to QOTW 8.6. Which made me not to be able to post produce the video for publish.

I however decided to make this post a double post with answers to the previous question and to this current one which would still be in the same series.

WHAT DO WE FEAR
I gave an analogy above about an animal too scared to go out because there was a lion out there that was hungry.
Now, is that wisdom? Should this said animal die of hunger because it doesn't wanna die being eaten up.
what the fear is here is not even the hunger which may lead to the same end as being caught by the lion, but rather dying by the hand of the lion.
Isn't there a chance the lion doesn't find it to prey, a chance perhaps that the animal outruns the lion for instance, can it run

So what it fear is really not the lion, but its own incapability.

Feeling fear is part of human emotions, however it is interesting that most of these fears are due to learning and recognition that as human beings we have limits with respect to natural elements such as the force of water, fire, electricity, wind, gravity, physical superiority and the danger posed by some species of animals, in these cases fear is not bad, it becomes a protection that keeps us alert to the dangers and prevents us from exposing ourselves recklessly to them.

ENGLISH
A fear that has haunted my life for years, is the fear of not being alive for my daughters, I feel the need to protect them, take care of them and be there for them, it happened to me with my first two daughters until they got married and had their own families, but now with my youngest daughter that fear is repeated. I lived traumatic situations when my daughters were only 5 and 4 years old respectively, their father, my husband died in a car accident, this taught me that unexpectedly we can cease to exist and no longer be able to take care of our loved ones. This experience turned me into an overprotective mother almost to the extreme, on the other hand, having a stable job that allowed me to cover their physical needs became a priority for me.
