EcoTrain QOTW S#7: 5 Amazing things About Kids And Parenting

When my mother gave birth to the last child in the family, I was 8 years old. I wasn't sure what was happening but I noticed the people who came around in jubilee, a sign that something good had happened. My mum who was screaming in pain a few minutes ago grinned as she held the baby in her hands, then followed by congratulatory notes from those who heard the good news. No doubt, the connection between a mother and a child starts on that very day he was brought into the planet earth.

The innocence in the child's eyes was fascinating. They did not know of distrust, betrayal, hatred, pain, or suffering. They just live with the belief that life is good and everyone in it. I see their innocence as amazing, sometimes I wish I can still put up that look of a child.

A child laughs each time he is thrown in the air, maybe because those kids believe whoever had thrown them wouldn't allow them to hit the floor. A kid's faith is strong and unaltered, he believes whatever his dad says no matter the odds, will come to pass. The kid is flexible, they are teachable and quick to assimilate. A kid easily forgives, he doesn't put into account conflicts and grudges and kids have dreams. They share their dreams oftentimes by announcing what they want to become and sometimes practice how to become one as they play with their peers.

Whatever a child becomes in the future is most times a product of their childhood programming, and this is where parenting comes in. The flexible nature of a child makes it easy for them to be trained with certain traits at that early stage in life. A child can learn through words and by what he sees, though what they see has lasting impressions in him.

So What's Amazing About kids and parenting
  1. What they learn in childhood has a lasting effect on them.
  2. They're inquisitive, always eager to try new things not minding the risk
  3. Their faith level is super high, they trust people to whom they're under their care.
  4. They are always ready to learn, though could act funny atimes.
  5. Teach them the path to go and they wouldn't forsake it.

Leaders, honest men, and people to change the world's narratives could be groomed in a child. If they have this mentality at this stage, then the future is not to be feared. So the amazing thing about a kid and parenting is their flexibility to what they're told or taught.
