QUÉ ES LA JUSTICIA?

Para la justicia es un valor moral, que debe ser inculcado en el núcleo familiar. A medida que vamos creciendo nuestros padres están en el deber y la obligación de enseñarnos a ser justos. Ésto predicando con el ejemplo y practicando en el hogar con todos los miembros el ser justos. Es una valor individual. Pero a la vez es un valor social, del que dependería el funcionamiento de muchas instituciones en el país.

Puedo contarle dos anécdotas; una sucedida muchos años atrás y la otra mas recientemente.

1. Justicia en el hogar: Cuando mis hijos estaban pequeños su papá se encargaba de hacer el mercado lo mas completo posible, éste incluía frutas y cereales. Al momento de consumir estos alimentos se repartía de manera equitativa, en porciones iguales para cada uno de nosotros. Se respetaban los horarios de las meriendas y las cantidades a consumir. Unos años después los hijos crecieron y el padre ya no vivía en el hogar. Sucedió entonces que el hábito de repartición equilibrada se rompió, desapareció. Uno de los dos hijos adquirió una mala costumbre de consumirse lo que estaba a la disposición de todos. Y cuando nosotros deseábamos comer alguna fruta o cereal ya no había. Así pasaron varios meses y siempre después de un llamado de atención teníamos la esperanza de que su comportamiento cambiara. Así no fue. Por lo que me ví obligada a aplicar una estrategia mas eficaz, empecé a porcionar o repartir en cantidades iguales todo lo que nos íbamos a merendar para que no hubiera inconveniente. Hasta el sol de hoy, cuando compramos cualquier producto comestible, lo dividimos en partes iguales. Se perdió la libertad de llegar y dejar todo en la alacena sin el temor de cuando quisiéramos comer algo estuviera ahi. Pero me dio la tranquilidad de saber que mi otro hijo y yo también estamos disfrutando de lo que compramos.

WHAT IS JUSTICE?

For justice it is a moral value, which must be instilled in the family nucleus. As we grow, our parents have a duty and an obligation to teach us to be fair. This is by leading by example and practicing in the home with all the members being fair. It is an individual value. But at the same time it is a social value, on which the operation of many institutions in the country would depend.

1. Justice at home: When my children were young, their father was in charge of making the market as complete as possible, it included fruits and cereals. At the time of consuming these foods, it was distributed evenly, in equal portions for each of us. The hours of the snacks and the quantities to be consumed were respected. A few years later the children grew up and the father no longer lived at home. It happened then that the habit of balanced distribution was broken, disappeared. One of the two sons acquired a bad habit of consuming what was available to all. And when we wanted to eat some fruit or cereal, there were no more. So several months passed and always after a wake-up call we hoped that his behavior would change. So it was not. So I was forced to apply a more effective strategy, I began to portion or distribute in equal quantities everything that we were going to have a snack so that there was no inconvenience. Until today, when we buy any edible product, we divide it equally. The freedom of arriving and leaving everything in the cupboard was lost without the fear that when we wanted to eat something was there. But it gave me peace of mind knowing that my other son and I are also enjoying what we buy.

1. Justicia social: En la urbanización donde vivo hay varias calles que no tienen otra fila de casas del otro lado, es decir, en los patios. Éstos quedan disponibles para que nuestras casas estén mas despejadas y obtengamos el beneficio de adquirir legalmente esos terrenos. Pues bien, en el país desde hace algunos años se crearon programas sociales impulsados por el Estado en los que se incentiva mediante créditos y otras vías la siembra y producción agrícola. Empezaron con las familias en el campo. Ya los programas están siendo ejecutados también en las ciudades. Todos los terrenos baldíos aptos para la siembra deben ponerse a producir. Me parece muy bien.
   Lo que sucedió recientemente en mi comunidad es que tenemos en nuestros patios, mas alla, una gran cantidad de terreno que no estaba siendo utilizado para nada y la misma comunidad la estaba sembrando y cosechando algunos rubros. El programa llegó a nosotros de una manera inadecuada, ya que vinieron personas de sectores muy alejados de aquí y se instalaron a limpiar y sembrar en los espacios que ya estaban siendo cultivados. Pretendiendo dejar por fuera del proyecto a todas las personas que ya habían iniciado la siembra. Nos pareció injusto y se solicitó una reunión en la que a Dios gracias se le dio participación a esas personas, incluso a todos los que quisiéramos entrar en el proyecto.

Well, in the country for some years, social programs promoted by the State were created in which the sowing and agricultural production are incentivized through credits and other means.    What happened recently in my community is that we have in our patios, furthermore, a large amount of land that was not being used for anything and the same community was planting it and harvesting some items. The program came to us in an inappropriate way, since people came from sectors very far from here and settled down to clean and sow in the spaces that were already being cultivated. Pretending to leave out of the project all the people who had already started planting. It seemed unfair to us and a meeting was requested in which, thank God, these people were given participation, including all of us who wanted to join the project.

En estos dos simples ejemplos podemos determinar el significado de ser justos. La libertad, la equidad, la igualdad, el respeto y la moral son los valores mas importantes que definen la justicia. Muchas veces nos preguntamos si hemos sido justos o no con nuestros actos. O si los demás han sido justos con nosotros. Dentro de las familias debe nacer la iniciativa de discutir si entre los miembros hay justicia, o si de alguna manera casi indetectable estamos siendo muy injustos con algunos de ellos.

Otro momento de la vida en los que me he preguntado si es justa la vida ha sido cuando fallecen mis seres queridos. Dios es el que todo lo puede y todo lo sabe, pero cuando decide llevarse a uno de los nuestros entramos en rebeldía, sobre todo si conocemos a "malas personas" que hacen daño a la sociedad y éstas gozan de muy buena salud y son mas fuertes que el odio, como dicen por aquí. Son pensamientos pasajeros que atraviesan por mi mente. El sentido de la justicia no puede ser subjetivo. eso hay que tenerlo claro.

Another moment in life in which I have wondered if life is fair has been when my loved ones die. God is the one who can do everything and knows everything, but when he decides to take one of ours we go into rebellion, especially if we meet "bad people" who harm society and they are in very good health and are more strong than hate, as they say around here. They are fleeting thoughts that cross my mind. The sense of justice cannot be subjective. That must be clear.
