My New Year Dish — ecoTrain Cooking on Budget Challenge: The New Year Leftovers.

So I decided to try something new as my new year dish. This is a dish I have mostly enjoyed at the bar when I am out with my friends. Being a bachelor, foods like rice, noodles, soup and beans are often at my disposal. Didn't wanna make those conventional foods on 1st, so u decided to go for Catfish pepper soup.

I invited my friends — @dwixer and @xcess12, over to my place since I would be preparing something a bit special for the new year. Though it was my first time preparing the dish, my guests were more than satisfied, as they couldn't hide their praises.

So that at following are the ingredients I used in making the pepper soup:

Fresh pepper

Onion

Crayfish

Salt

Scent leaves

Maggi seasoning

Pepper soup seasoning

2kg of Catfish

These are the Procedures I used in the preparation

The first action is to get rid of the dirt on the skin of the catfish. This can be done by soaking the fish in a solution of warm water + salt, after which a knife is used in scraping the dirt out.

The second step is to get some of the ingredients ready. By washing and slicing those that need to be sliced, like the onion, fresh pepper, and scent leaves. Afterwards, place a pot on fire with the desired amount of water, and wait for it to boil.

Then put in the ingredients. Allow the ingredients to mix thoroughly by leaving the pot on fire for about 5 minutes before pouring the fish.

Leave it on fire for about 30-35 minutes, after which your catfish pepper soup is ready.

We couldn't finish it once, as we bought drinks that we took with the pepper soup. So today (2nd) I decided to convert the Leftovers to stew, as I boiled a small quantity of rice that I ate it with. I couldn't snap it together with the rice, but I have the pictures of the leftovers. They are given as follows:
