Is protesting a disturbance of peace? - I can't breathe.

“Protesting is never a disturbance of the peace. Corruption, injustice, war, and intimidation are disturbances of the peace.” ― Bryant McGill Quote

It's a terrible, painful, and unfair act that befall George Floyd, a black man in the hands of a white cop in the state of Minneapolis. This is a sign and a wakeup call for all nations of the world to stop the evil of racial segregation that is indeed going on secretly in the different countries of the world.

According to the New York Times
On May 25, Minneapolis police officers arrested George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, after a deli employee called 911, accusing him of buying cigarettes with a counterfeit $20 bill. Seventeen minutes after the first squad car arrived at the scene, Mr. Floyd was unconscious and pinned beneath three police officers, showing no signs of life.

I condemn such murderous acts of innocent folks by the authorities. Personally, I desire to see the police in place exercising its duty of keeping law and order but that should be done fairly in a well-regulated manner, following the constitution and careful observation of human rights.

People need to always be reminded that the authorities and the common man are all human beings that have feelings; these can be hurt in case of any negative selfish behavior of any party.

I love and support peace and freedom for all humanity in this world. Peaceful protests are a good thing that I encourage people to do when they are against any unfair policies and misconduct of the authorities. The problem comes in when peaceful protests turn into riots where some people go extreme and hurt others. That eventually spoils the entire thing.

“It’s complete madness! There are cars on fire, shops being looted by teenagers, people rioting and protesting over something they have no control over. And these are people that haven’t even had to deal with the infected, yet! They’re destroying their neighborhoods like savages, instead of preparing for the hell that’s about to hit them like a tsunami! Jason Medina Quote

I was grieved by the unfair killing of George Floyd but I am more grieved to see rioters stealing people's properties and destroying lots of valuable assets of the nation. The government should, therefore, do whatever it takes to bring back peace and order in the nation.

President Trump summoned the national-guard to restore back law and order in Minneapolis after the police failed to do the job due to the overwhelming riots in that state. The problem is that the good cause of the protest was now turned into some else when rioters who trump referred to as “Terrorists” began destroying the state’s properties and even the normal people’s stores, and cars.

Due to the high escalating anarchy in the country, both the domestic peaceful protesters and the rioters are now in the same boat. The authorities have been forced to fire rubber bullets and some live ones which have injured some people in the demonstrations.

Why has this issue gone overboard?

In my opinion, a great majority of people are just sick and tired of the long time government’s restrictions on the lock-down. Though health is paramount, people are now emotionally broke due to the long time spent without working. Some people are extremists and terrorists who are just taking advantage of the situation by causing more chaos in the country in a bid to paint a bad image on the current president.
