"Aaron Russo"

Aaron Russo (February 14, 1943 – August 24, 2007) was an American entertainment businessman, film producer, film director, and political activist.

He was best known for producing movies including 'Trading Places', 'Wise Guys', and 'The Rose'. Later in life, he created various libertarian-leaning political documentaries including "Mad as Hell" and "America: Freedom to Fascism". After a six-year period with cancer, Russo died on August 24, 2007.

As film director and actor he also participated in the humorous but also visionary comedy film "Rude Awakening". Film of which I will show you the trailer below and I will make you a brief review of its synopsis. Yeah! you know? Just to put you in a good mood while you continue reading and consuming this post.

Synopsis:

  • In the late 1960s, two people are forced to abandon their friends because the FBI views them as criminals. They hide in the jungle for 20 years. A secret war is about to start in the US in the late 1980s and someone returns to New York to tell someone about it.

And as you already know that I am an old rocker with tangly long haired who also likes very old and good Rock & Roll. Let me tell you that our good friend Aaron Russo in his facet as an entertainment entrepreneur. In April 1968, Russo opened the nightclub Kinetic Playground in Chicago, Illinois, originally naming it the Electric Theater. And where he booked numerous prominent rock bands and musicians at the club such as The Grateful Dead, Iron Butterfly, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, King Crimson, Vanilla Fudge, Rotary Connection, The Who, The Manhattan Transfer and Bette Midler among many others.
