Unite from Within

There’s a major psychological drive to unite with others, to form relationships and work together cooperatively towards a common goal. If we want to go somewhere together, we need to unite with them towards that common destination. If we are not united then we are in disunity, disharmony, misalignment, non-integration and contradiction with others then we can’t go forward together.

That’s the importance of truth and reality, especially moral truth. We need to get on the same page and go forward together with a common understanding of reality. Those who are attached to falsity and don’t want to honestly reevaluate their understanding based in reality, or change their behavior, are a problem going forward by uniting with others.

For us to be united together, each of us as individuals must also be united within ourselves. This requires us to be honest self-evaluators with self-analysis, reflection and contemplation so that we can be in unity consciousness within ourselves. If we as individuals are in internal contradiction within ourselves then were not aligned or united within ourselves, our thoughts, emotions and actions are not in harmony. How can we expect to properly unite with others when we ourselves are not properly united as an individual?

Unity is a state or property of being one. Unity comes from the Latin unas which means one. When things are united they form a cohesive, integrated, harmonious unity. That's what the word is so if there's parts that don't fit then they’re not united. When referring to consciousness, we have our thoughts, emotions and actions which are not conflicting when they are in unity consciousness. As we think, so we feel and so we do.

Our actions do not betray our words, thoughts or feelings. That's when you have your thoughts, emotions and actions all aligned. When there are checkmarks across the board in the trinity of consciousness, then you’re in unity consciousness. But if you have one that contradicts the other than it's not unity consciousness and you have a disunity, disharmony, opposition, conflict, nonintegrated, disharmonious and disequilibrated.

When you're disconnected from reality and you’re not integrated, then you’re conflicting with what is in reality and are oppositional to it. This disunity with reality and truth means you won’t understand things properly, and your actions are not going to be as optimal as they could be. If you think 2+2 is five and then you develop further mathematical derivations about reality based on that then they are going to be off course and off the path soon as you take the wrong step. That's why the first step is important, and each successive step is important to stay on the path of reality and truth.

We can always correct ourselves, but the more we ignore going off onto the wrong path, the more we keep going on the wrong path. So we have to face the negative face, the wrong, face ourselves, and admit wrong. Admit wrong and then we can imagine better. But if we don't admit what's wrong with not going to be going forward in a positive direction.

With your thoughts and emotions, you think a certain way and you feel a certain way. But then you're afraid to act or you don't act, even though you know you should act. Then that’s disunity consciousness as you’re not united within. You think one way, you feel the same way, you know what you need or should do, but then you don't do it. So either the willpower is not there, or instead of having courage to engage in the willpower, what you end up having is cowardice instead of courage. That’s based in fear instead of the courage.

Like the lion in the Wizard of Oz. The lion needed a “heart” to have courage. Courage in the “heart” with care for what needs to be done. So if you have care for truth, you have the courage to do what is required to act and support truth.

Similarly, if we only have our thoughts where we think something within, but we feel differently about it and we act differently than what we think, then we’re still not united. And also if we think in the wrong way but feel in the right way and we act in the wrong way, then we’re still not united.

It starts in our thoughts and we feel certain ways about how we think and what happens in our environment that affects us that we think about. We have emotional meaning applied, we have a feeling, and then we can act upon that. Depending on how united we are within, it's going to affect our actions in the world.
