If you are not willing to put your life in harm's Way to protect children at elementary school you don't deserve to be a police officer.
However we also have the situation that police officers are under no duty to actually proactively protect you they are just historians. And they penalize those who do crimes.
Not only is the school district completely liable because obviously there was warning and plenty of chances to intercede and intervene.
However we're also looking at the fact that these individual officers had no leadership and even the first officer kept pushing up trying to neutralize this gunman with absolutely no support.
And then you have this damning information that some of those children could have been saved however without an armed response by law enforcement in a timely fashion, so many more innocent children's lives were condemned to slow painful deaths while officers sat around debating on what to do.
And then we are also looking at over a year for all of the autopsies to be performed which is going to be non-negotiable on the part of the parents and family members as well as community. I absolutely do not see that being allowed.
It is absolutely heartbreaking watch all these officers armed with bullet process just milling about aimlessly.
The backlash from this is going to be even more brutal than the entire defund the police and I absolutely believe that good law enforcement officers are absolutely necessary and need to be respected however with all of the garbage law enforcement personalities costing the taxpayers for the inept behavior they constantly exhibit?
Great cops need to be paid more and respected. The office and job needs to be more than just a profession.
Back in the day law enforcement was more of a lifestyle that was only held by a few select individuals. A lot of these individuals died in the course of their duties but that's the reason why they were so respected by the common folk.
And absolutely this entire situation shows how much more training and knowledge the everyday average law enforcement officer needs.
