Films are the means to connect in a period of time with the moviegoer, with the purpose of sending a message to create empathy, controversy or rejection. Hence, the importance that producers, directors, screenwriters and other film teams are interested in creating sequential images that entertain and concentrate the viewer to meet the expectations. That said, I share a cinematrography that kept me immersed in the story. A film with a content deserving of several awards (best supporting actor, among others) that reveals the social reality of a country, a culture with a spiritual philosophy, a disadvantaged population and a hopeful ending. > Las películas son el medio para conectar en un período de tiempo con el cinéfilo, con el propósito de enviar un mensaje para crear empatía, polémica o rechazo. De ahí, la importancia que los productores, directores, guionistas y demás equipos del Cine se interesen en crear imágenes secuenciales que entretenga y concentre al espectador para cubrir las expectativas. Dicho esto, comparto una cinematrografía que me mantuvo sumergida en la historia. Lion is a biographical film of Sarro Brierly a male entrepreneur who wrote a book about his life, titled Lion. Before I delve into the movie, I will tune you in, it is a drama and biographical genre film, starring Dev Patel and Nicole Kidman. Saroo comes from a humble family, united by the strength of a mother working in a construction company to support her children, who sweep train wagons to collect rupees to eat, in other words, a scenario known in other cultures and yet forgotten by many; no doubt, the film moves the sentimental fiber about the reality of families who go through inhuman needs and their lives are denied because they are poor. > La historia es sobre un niño llamado Saroo de 5 años que se pierde en las calles de Calcuta, India, a 14 horas de su hogar; un inicio desalentador para inferir que la vida de un niño inocente y desprotegido en un mundo anárquico está en peligro. This opportunity for Saroo is devastating, because he is aware of having a family and a mother; however, little knowledge of orientation and personal identity limits the search, so, a family that longs to be parents adopts him; for a moment you feel that the film tells you that a home will make the change and it turns out that a 5 year old boy does not forget, because important experiences are stored to live from them. > El film proyecta verdades y una de ellas es la explotación infantil; el niño supera obstáculos gracias a su capacidad intuitiva de desconfiar y de sobrevivir, hasta que, es reubicado en un centro de adopción. Pasa el tiempo, Saroo es adulto, en un encuentro social, su pasado sale a flote como tema de conversación y un invitado menciona de forma muy natural que es fácil hallar la ubicación geográfica a través del uso de la aplicación Google Eartn, tal mención, despertó en Saroo nuevamente una bocanada de esperanza, la película te confirma que si se puede y te involucras como espectador en la búsqueda. La travesía inicia con dificultades, una madre adoptiva afligida, pero que respeta la decisión de Saroo de trazar el largo camino a su hogar, de ahí el título en español, porque Lion (león) es su verdadero nombre en hindú, el cual sería Sheru y no Saroo. I invite you to see the film because it deals with a real content, a complex life with opportunities to make favorable changes. A child saved by adoption; however, inside prevails to be with his mother and family; how not to see a film where trust and hope breaks barriers. A happy ending that values family, culture, identity and above all a mother's love. The film calls for reconciliation, gratitude, to rethink about who you are and that no one escapes the past and reality, all this, carried by the acting work that I think Dav Patel does well. > Invito a ver la película porque trata de un contenido real, una vida compleja con oportunidades para hacer cambios favorables. Un niño salvado por la adopción; sin embargo, en el interior prevalecía estar con su madre y su familia; cómo no ver un film donde la confianza y la esperanza rompe barreras. Un final feliz que valora a la familia, la cultura, la identidad y sobre todo el amor de madre. La película llama a la reconciliación, al agradecimiento, a repesar sobre quién eres y que nadie escapa del pasado y de la realidad, todo esto, llevado por el trabajo actoral que a mí parecer lo hace bien Dav Patel.
