Home Alone (1990): Perks of being a troublemaker

Home-Alone.png

Home Alone, a capturing title yet very usual day-to-day used occurrence and utterance. This movie widens the perspective of comedy and children, giving it a whole new outlook. It does reflect the essence of the Victorian era, when reality and day-to-day negotiations were emerging to become a part of literature and emerging ideas settled in, in short. Obviously, this starts steadily, always a sudden force or foreign element makes the start. Continuing the key concept of the Victorian era, it can be said that in this movie the elements of bringing forth an amazing output from the perspective of a troublemaker did change the view altogether.

Too much in-depth conceptual benefit analysis can be dragging, let us move on to the comedy essence that this movie makes an attachment towards. Comedy is a very broad concept in general, but if you are the type of person who enjoys tit-bits of chuckles now and then, then this movie will surely satisfy you. It also brings back the entertainment and essence of Tom and Jerry which was barely a theatrical short film, to begin with, in 1940 by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. This jolt of joy which Tom and Jerry associates the audience with was again put into light in Home Alone, which definitely marks the perfect coordination of how laughter sparks in us, humans. Without any utterance yet just with music and visuals, creating laughter is definitely an art. Home Alone brings back this idea to us once again in 1990 by John Hughes as the scriptwriter and Chris Columbus as the director.

It is NOT a gloomy movie but quite the opposite as you can understand now. The scope of creativity which can emerge in children than that of adults is quite the aspect portrayed. It also ventures through relationship bondings to that of nurturing children properly. Much more concepts hit while I re-think about the movie but, alas! Too much to talk about in such a short time.

"So much to talk about,
So much to grasp,
So much our little mind holds,
Which never lasts.

Thousands of concepts that we hold,
Which unless is shared is not told,
Less treasured more penned,
With this we keep the trend.

One another concept to put in light is the concept of being courageous and uplifting, even while facing the most severe circumstances in our life. Perks of being in a huge family, the environmental crisis which befalls in huge families, all these aspects were quite portrayed in the movie explicitly along with the tricks to be applied while facing burglars. Although, maybe most of the tricks won't be applicable by us adults nor children. Also, the fun fact is that courage and bravery which are displayed in the movie are what truly makes it all possible. Also, not to forget the perks of the sibling bond, the rush for trivial pleasure in sync with the notion of comedy. Again a tint of the Victorian era is detected. Home Alone demonstrates this simple message through the enactment of a child, which raises awareness and at the same time also uplifts the power children hold. This movie will surely overjoy the audience with its simplicity in portraying the emotions of the characters and circumstances very vividly. A huge applaud to Macaulay Culkin for portraying the character of Kelvin just too well.

Those of you who already watched, I hope you could relate and the ones who still didn't, you MUST watch it soon. The movie will not let you down! I would highly encourage eager writers to share their perspectives about this movie which may differ from my perspective and readers might get another glimpse of the same version but in a different light.
