The begins when Stephen Hawking was completing his Doctoral studies at the University of Cambrige where he met his future wife Jane Wilde when he attend a party and became curious with each other which ended to Jane giving her number to Stephen written on a napkin. This allow them be be on contact with each other while he continues to progress with his studies until one day he was afflicted with Motor Neuron Decease which slowly takes away Stephen's ability to move and with doctors telling him that he have only 2 years to live. Despite this tragic discovery, Jane still accepted Stephen, something that many people would have probably start to distance themselves and on July 14, 1965, they become married couple and on 1966, his Thesis was accepted and received a research fellowship at Gonville and Caius College at Cambridge, obtaining a PHD in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics.

By this time, Stephen was able to live much longer that what doctors have expected and continued to make notable works in the field of science but the stress of taking care of him has taken a toll on Jane and upon meeting the organist Jonathan Hellyer Jones, she developed romantic feelings for each other and when she told Stephen about this, accepted the situation and even become close to Jonathan as they try to not break the family and stayed with a platonic relationship for a long Period until Stephen has decided to divorce her on 1995 as he fell in love with one of his nurse, Elaine Mason.

Within this time, another event will take away his ability to speak when he went to CERN and get Pneumonia. His condition is really bad and only living through life- support and when asked her wife if it should be terminated, Jane refused to let him go. Later, Stephen had survived but at the same time, it took away his ability to speak and will now take more effort to take care of. On 1986, he received a computer program called the "Equalizer" from Walter Woltosz, CEO of** Words Plus** which allows him to talk. It was attached on a motorized wheelchair which also allows him to move around. This allows him to continue on his Science endeavors. It was here when he made his book A Brief History of Time which became really as it opened new Ideas about the possible beginning of the Universe and made him known commercially.

What I Loved about This Film?

The life of Stephen Hawking was filled with many ups and downs as from when he achieved so many great things but also experience events that would make one to give up on life, but despite this, he still continue to work on his research and achieved great things. I also love the fact that he met a very supportive wife that despite knowing early on that their life will not be an easy one as she needs to take care of his husband, she still stick with him and support him including the time when Stephen was on life support and saying "yes" will allow her to get free from the responsibility, she refused.

It is also really amazing that although the two have broken up and re-marry, they still keep close with each other and that they still care for each other, unlike most relationships that both parties hated each other when they broke up.

My Unforgettable Part of the Film

There are many parts of this film that I cannot forget both happy and sad but if I were to choose this two moments that stands among them all.

First, was when he got the Equalizer program and regains the means to talk again for this was the beginning of the innovation that can help others who cannot speak be able to talk again.

The second one is when he made a his speech on a conference and was asked what philosophy in life helps him if he do not believed in god and he said:

It is clear that we are just an advanced breed of primates on a minor planet orbiting around a very average star, in the outer suburb of one among a hundred billion galaxies. BUT, ever since the dawn of civilization people have craved for an understanding of the underlying order of the world. There ought to be something very special about the boundary conditions of the universe. And what can be more special than that there is no boundary? And there should be no boundary to human endeavor. We are all different. However bad life may seem, there is always something you can do, and succeed at. While there is life, there is hope.

And upon hearing it, everyone in the conference have a standing ovation and clap thier hands loud. The message was clear in here that as long as you live, you can do things and succeed if you don't give up like how Stephen Hawking was able to develop innovative ideas that advances the study of Science even when disabled.

It also reminds me of the song I'm Alive by Becca, the ending song for the anime Black Butler.

Performance of the actors

Eddie Redmayne was the actor that plays the role of Stephen Hawking and he really plays the part well as if he is the real one. I have watched documentaries made by Stephen Hawking and when I compared him to the actor, I can't almost tell the difference. It may be because of the voice program but the actor also got how the real one moves.

Felicity Jones who plays the role of Jane Wilde also did an amazing performance. She looks very innocent and kind which will make you think that the real one was able to support her disabled husband because she was kind and every time that they made eye contact with Stephen, you can almost fell in love with how she looked.

They fit the role really well and the chemistry between them was really great and that you would be able to picture how the people they play in real life acts.

On March 14 2018, Stephen Hawking has passed away at the age of 76 but he was able to live very long when he was expected to die at the age of 23 and at that time, he was able to make a family with 3 children and made achievements that will be remembered forever.

And that was it for my first #CineTV post and thank you if you were able to reach it until here. I hope for those that still wasn't able to watch this film to give it a try and share your thoughts here as well as for those who have watched it already.

See you until next time!
