My brother, my sister.
My brother, my sister is an emotional film. It's Italian, released on 8 October, 2021. At the heart of this film are two siblings; Tesla and Nik who have not seen each other in 20 years and only get to reunite because of their fathers death.
The reading of his will turns Tesla's world upside down because her father's last wishes require that she and her estranged brother live together in their family home.
Tesla has a daughter with whom she also has a difficult mother - daughter relationship with and a cellist son, Sebastiano who's suffering from schizophrenia. She also suffers from anxiety and does not want any situation to get out of control and disrupt her son's world.
Nik here appears to be that unwanted intrusion into that life. In the end, this is a story of reconciliation, and these siblings get to unravel secrets about each other, about their dead father and learn to live together.
