The Sandman has been a well worth the watch Netflix show and it has left many wondering when season two will commence as the series did start and finish with a closure. But as well all know the Sandman comics are quite broad and have many untold stories thus far.
Two of those comic book inceptions blessed our screens without many people knowing but I have to admit I am neither here nor there about them and many are also feeling the same way. The first short comic book story that has come to our screens is an alternative universe of a cat world.
The short episode starts off with a kitten who is met by an older cat that takes him to a cemetery to meet what one would call a preacher cat who in summary is trying to get all cats to have the same dream. One in which cats rule the world because allegedly this was how the universe was created until humans came together and dreamed of a world that they were the rulers.
Morpheus is a cat in this episode and it doesn't make sense because if dreaming it makes it a reality than Morpheus must have met with the humans to make it their reality.
This episode really didn't add anything to the overall story line and I nearly switched it off if it wasn't for the kids that had no idea what was happening but hey, there was a cat in it. The cartoonish style further took away from what was happening.
The second part of the mini series actually added a little more to the main story line and fit in with Zeus' daughter being captured and stuck as a servant for 60 years.
Turns out she is captured a little after Morpheus is and she learns this from the witches who can't help her and only an Endless can help because an Endless can pretty much do whatever they like.
Anyway the story is pretty short and Morpheus just trolls a human until he sets her free and they go on their merry way. But we do learn that Morpheus and Zeus' daughter had a son who died but is in with Hades so he could just go get them but apparently they are lost.
Although it adds further confusion to who Morpheus saw when he went to see the devil as that too was an old love.
But it did add further character development for our favorite endless and also further showed us all how he has changed and become a new person or being.
One thing I am waiting too see what happens is the spinoff for Constantine as there is a slight issue because we know Keanu is returning to our favorite religious demon slaying character.
So we are in a wait and see moment to see if we will get two Constantine's or just the one.
