Another fantastic opportunity to participate in a great contest that showcases the best of web3 with @cinetv and @ecency. Today's contest is about Space movies and when it comes to Space there are about as many movies about Space and expanding as Space itself.

With such a great line up of cult classics such as Star Wars, Aliens, Predator, Spaceballs it is hard to choose which one is indeed my favourite.

The stars above have captivated humans for all eternity and so to has its very make-up and what it is that we could find once we leave our very own solar system.

Are there other life forms? Probability tells us yes but sadly due to our technology and most likely theirs we will never get to know but future generations may.

Purely on that fact alone one of my all time favourite Space films is interstellar which focuses on a dieing world and the current humans trying to reach another planet.

Unlike a conventional film where they design a rocketship and head off into the stars this one utilises STEM and implements a new model. One in which part of the earth is wrapped into a cylinder or a ring. But before we get there let's talk about the Endurance the first ship used to journey through the worm hole.

For all those that don't know much of interstallar was based on actual real current science and the ship above is plausible just like in this medium article and many like it. The ship spun at 5.5 revs per minute to create artificial gravity similar to Earth's.

But the science doesn't end there.

In once scene the astronauts visit a planet that is close to a blackhole and time changes. Their mission is to be quick while one of the other astronauts remains on the ship.

Their ship is hit by a tidal wave and every hour is 7 years of earth time which means by the time they get back 23 years has passed. In this time entire life's have gone by and our lead characters daughter has now grown and he has missed out on many milestones. It is a sad part of the film but is built on truth of a blackhole and relativity.

Here's where things get complex as throughout the movie early on what appears to be a ghost is giving directions over a 50 year period.

Turns out it wasn't a ghost but our main character from within a blackhole who can pear into time and space and use gravity to communicate.

You might be thinking what? Well if you understand the theory of relativity this scene is so plausible that it freaks you out.

While our pilots have been trying to get to this other planet and lost a lot of time it turns out that back on Earth people were building things and doing science with the information that our lost astronaut provided them from within the blackhole.

For him it is a matter of minutes but as he moves from time to time it is decades on Earth and just as he is about to give up the Earth Space ship arrives to collect him and he is saved.

In this period of time his daughter has aged but it was his love that made the connection to her and provided her with all the information needed to save the human race from extinction.

Although Hollywood put their twist on it this movie is built on the very fabric of science and much of it plausible. For that I rate this film 10/10 and one of my all time favourites.

Have you seen the film? What did you think of it?
