CineTv Contest: The Devil Wears Prada.

Actually, like I would always tell. I love my movies in action but if any other movie vines as a recommendation and you convince me that it's worth my time then I'll see the movie. That was exactly how I got to see the movie "The Devil Wears Prada". It came as a recommendation from a brother

"The Devil Wears Prada" is my choice for this week's contest. Because it delves straight into the world of haute fashion and a demanding boss that governs it. This film has become a classic for its criticism of the fashion industry. It was directed by David Frankel and starred A-list actors like Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt. This trio gave an outstanding performance in the movie.

A little on the plot.
The plot of the movie "The Devil Wears Prada" centers on or around Andy Sachs, who was a new college grad working as Miranda Priestly's assistant at Runway magazine. Miranda was a strong and demanding editor-in-chief. At first, Andy was eager and determined to establish herself and get the notoriety she deserves in the fashion industry. But quickly learned that working with Miranda will not be an easy job because she was frequently made fun of, frequently overworked, and stretched to the limit. But yet Andy is adamant that she will succeed and win over the love of her boss despite the obstacles her boss was placing before her. Andy had challenges juggling her work and personal lives and a very demanding Miranda too throughout the movie.
She must choose whether she would either compromise her principles and personal life for her dream work or whether she will stay true to her character and quit her job.

Meryl Streep played the character Miranda Priestly who was the fictional character of the Runway magazine's editor-in-chief, the boss of the movie. Like all prominent people in the fashion world who expect greatness from their employees.

What I think of the movie..
I think that the character Miranda Priestly's in the movie "The Devil Wears Prada" is one of the factors that made it so unforgettable for me. Not just that she's very accomplished and a well-respected boss in her area of expertise, she is also a complex character who was both demanding and intimidating. Meryl Streep really tried in playing the character of Miranda. She brought the ideal balance of haughtiness and sensitivity, giving a superb performance. She commanded the screen with her presence.

Although I haven't worked in the fashion industry, but i have had the opportunity to work with bosses that were difficult to work for and were very demanding just as Miranda. Yes, Miranda's demanding attitude was at the extreme end of the range, but somehow her persona serves as a reminder that sometimes even the most difficult bosses occasionally prove to be the most capable leaders. Even with her unyielding expectations, she also was able to encourage her staff to go beyond what they had imagined was possible.

I also love that the high-pressure environment of not just the fashion but the business world was also explored in the movie. "The Devil Wears Prada '' creates a clear picture of what it's like to work for a demanding boss, a hectic workplace and in a fierce competitive environment.

However, Miranda's persona also emphasizes the significance of striking a balance between encouragement and rigorous standards. She is a talented boss, but she is also nasty and uncaring about the private lives of her staff. This serves as a reminder that being a good boss involves more than just getting things done; it also involves treating staff with respect and compassion.

For me, while seeing this movie I wasn't looking at the boss aspect, I was only focused on a timely reminder of the value of striking a balance between work and personal obligations as well as the influence a manager can have on a team.

But looking back now and remembering other lessons probably because of the contest I got to understand that while some of these bosses are demanding and difficult to work with, others were encouraging and kind. For example, although Miranda Priestly's personality may make her a difficult boss to work for, she serves as a reminder that even the most demanding employers occasionally make the best leaders

Whether you are interested in the fashion industry or you're simply the kind that enjoys a nice story about the difficulties of juggling your work and your personal life, "The Devil Wears Prada" is definitely that movie worth seeing.
