I love the movie Geostorm and I think this is the best space movie I have seen or at least the one I liked the most. Even if I like a movie I don't usually try to repeat it too much, but in the case of this one, I could watch it many more times. I don't mind repeating it many times. I will tell you a little bit about my reasons for choosing this movie as the entry for this contest.
🎬 Geostorm my favorite space movie
Geotorm (2017) is not only a space movie, but also, an action movie, it's a great one. It stars Gerard Butler and Jim Sturgess. In Tokyo a terrible hail storm occurs and in Rio de Janeiro the beach begins to freeze and the frost begins to spread reaching people and buildings in its path. Well, these are some of the things that are starting to happen. However, there is a major warning because if something is not done, a Geostorm will happen. That is to say, this type of storms would attack all of humanity.
It was thought that these events were a consequence of the malfunction of the Dutch Child, which is the space station designed for the control of climatic changes that had solved and prevented this type of events. However, it was not a failure but a sabotage, caused with the intention of taking over the presidency of the United States of America.

🎥 Lo que me gustó de esta película
I loved that one of the female characters had an impactful secondary leading role. It's about a girl who works for the US secret service who has to protect the president. She is the girlfriend of the younger brother of the mastermind behind Dutch Boy and they have a secret love affair in light of the conflicts both positions represent.
She must make a quick decision, between continuing to comply with her job schedule or believing her boyfriend about the conflict involving the president which leads her to practically kidnap the President by force. Faced with this situation she makes a shocking escape, with a beastly defensive and offensive management and with a lot of temper.
There is a very humorous part where the President realizes that these guys are sweethearts, but upon seeing the girl's skill and performance, the President tells the groom, despite the fact that due to their positions they are not allowed to have an affair, to marry her.
I also liked the appearance of Eugenio Derbez, who plays the role of one of the engineers of the space platform and is the one who returns as the last option for two of the actors who had sacrificed themselves with the space station, in order to preserve planet earth. That part was very exciting when he appears out of nowhere returning in his ship to rescue these heroes.
🎥 How did it influence me?
Well it made me reflect on the quality of person we human beings are. Some very bright, to such a degree to become the originators of technological marvels like this Dutch Boy. But sometimes that intellectual intelligence has as a counterpart the deficiency of certain qualities that are necessary to maintain a balanced family life. Many times those who are innocent and love us are hurt.
It also highlights how ambition and the desire for power make many people become even murderers, in order to achieve their interests. This happens very often to a lesser or greater degree and it is very sad to recognize that it is part of the imperfect human nature and that in reality life does happen.
I also loved that despite the conflicts that existed between these brothers, they were able to find a common language through a code they used in their childhood, which allowed them to be able to stay in communication and devise a plan without being discovered by the spies around them. This allowed them to work as a team and maintain communication, which later allowed them to recover their relationship as siblings.
🎥 Scenes that stayed in my mind
All the scenes of the weather changes are fresh in my mind. Seeing how people in Afghanistan froze while walking or doing any other activity. How the ice was sweeping away everything in its path in Rio de Janeiro. But also in Dubai, which I had not told you about, a great tidal wave was about to hit the island, but it was stopped in time and how in the face of that danger a boy went out to rescue his little dog.

Also the scenes in Tokyo and Hong Kong have not been forgotten and make me think about how possible it is that similar events could happen suddenly nowadays. As actually happened with this Pandemic, which came out of nowhere like in a horror movie.

Well as I told you I loved the acting of the girl who works for the Secret Service, she was Sarah Wilson, who was played by Abbie Cornish.
🎥 Why do I like her?
The movie is very exciting and I think all the actors did really great. The main characters didn't die hahaha and that always leaves me with a sense of relief. The plot isn't so obvious so from the beginning you don't know what's going on. It also includes a certain degree of humor which I love.

Me encanta la película Geotormenta y creo que esta es la mejor película espacial que he visto o al menos la que más me ha gustado. Aunque una película me guste no suelo intentar repetirla mucho, pero en el caso de esta, pudiera verla muchas veces más. No me importa repetirla muchas veces. Te contaré un poco cuales son mis razones para escoger esta película como entrada para este concurso.
🎬 Geotormenta mi película espacial favorita
Geotormenta (2017) no sólo es una película espacial, sino también, una película de acción, es buenísima. Está protagonizada por Gerard Butler y Jim Sturgess. Trata sobre una serie cambios climáticos extremos que comienzan a suceder alrededor del globo terráqueo como por ejemplo, a pleno medio día una aldea en Afganistán se congela, muy altas temperaturas comienza a afectar repentinamente a Hong Kong.
En Tokio ocurre una terrible tormenta de granizo y en Rio de Janeiro comienza a congelarse la playa y la helada va extendiéndose alcanzando a las personas y edificios a su paso. Pues estas son algunas de las cosas que comienzan a suceder. Sin embargo hay una alerta mayor porque si no se hace algo, sucedería una Geotormenta. Es decir este tipo de tormentas atacarían a toda la humanidad.
Se pensaba que estos sucesos eran consecuencia del mal funcionamiento del Niño Holandés, que es la estación espacial diseñaba para el control de cambios climáticos que había solucionado y prevenido este tipo de acontecimientos. Sin embargo no fue una falla sino un saboteo, ocasionada con la intención de apoderarse de la presidencia de Estados Unidos de América.

Pero además de todo esto están en juegos relaciones familiares turbulentas de dos hermanos, el que diseño y dirigió el proyecto del Niño Holandés y de su hermano menor que debido a ciertas circunstancias llegó a ser su superior.
🎥 Lo que me gustó de esta película
Me encantó que uno de los personajes femeninos tuviera un rol protagónico secundario impactante. Se trata de una chica que trabaja para el servicio secreto de los Estados Unidos que tiene que proteger al presidente. Ella es novia del hermano menor del cerebro detrás del Niño Holandés y tienen un amor secreto en vista de los conflictos que ambos cargos representan.
Ella debe tomar una decisión rápida, entre seguir cumpliendo con la programación de su trabajo o creerle a su novio sobre el conflicto que involucra al presidente lo que la lleva prácticamente a secuestrar al Presidente a la fuerza. Ante esta situación ella protagoniza una huida impactante, con un manejo defensivo y ofensivo bestial y con mucho temple.
Hay una parte muy jocosa donde el Presidente se da cuenta que estos chicos son novios, pero al ver la destreza y el desenvolvimiento de la muchacha el Presidente le dice al novio, a pesar de que debido a sus posiciones no les es permitido un romance, que se case con ella.
También me gustó la aparición de Eugenio Derbez, quien hace el papel de uno de los ingenieros de la plataforma espacial y es quien regresa como la última opción que tienen dos de los actores que se habían sacrificado junto a la estación espacial, para poder preservar al planeta tierra. Esa parte fue muy emocionante cuando aparece de la nada regresando en su nave para rescatar a estos héroes.
🎥 ¿Cómo influyó en mí?
Bueno me hizo reflexionar en la calidad de persona que somos los seres humanos. Algunos muy brillantes, hasta tal grado de llegar a ser los originadores de maravillas tecnológicas como este Niño Holandés. Pero a veces esa inteligencia intelectual tiene como contraparte la deficiencia de ciertas cualidades que son necesarias para poder mantener una vida de familia equilibrada. Muchas veces se lastima a quienes son inocentes y además nos aman.
También, se pone de relieve como la ambición y el deseo de poder hace que muchas personas se conviertan hasta en asesinos, con tal de lograr sus intereses. Eso sucede muy a menudo a menor o mayor grado y es muy triste reconocer que es parte de la naturaleza humana imperfecta y que en la vida realidad si sucede.
También me encantó que a pesar de los conflictos que había entre estos hermanos, pudieron encontrar un idioma común a través de un código que utilizaban en su infancia, lo que les permitió poder mantenerse en comunicación e idear un plan sin ser descubiertos por los espías que habían a su alrededor. Esto les permitió trabajar en equipo y mantener la comunicación lo que les permitió más tarde recuperar su relación como hermanos.
🎥 Escenas que quedaron en mi mente
Todas las escenas del cambios climáticos las tengo frescas en mi mente. Ver como las personas en Afganistán se quedaban congeladas mientras caminabas o hacía cualquier otra actividad. Como el hielo iba a arrasando con todo a su paso en Rio de Janeiro. Pero también en Dubái, que no les había comentado, un gran maremoto estuvo por azotar a la isla, pero fue detenida a tiempo y como ante ese peligro un niño sale a rescatar a su perrito.

También las escenas de Tokio y Hong Kong no se me han olvidado y me hacen pensar en lo posible que es que sucesos parecidos pudiesen ocurrir de forma repentina en la actualidad. Como en realidad sucedió con esta Pandemia, que salió de la nada como en una película de terror.
🎥 Actuación preferida
Bueno como les comenté me encanto la actuación de la chica que trabaja para el Servicio secreto, ella era Sarah Wilson, quien fue interpretada por Abbie Cornish.
🎥 ¿Por qué me gusta?
La película es muy emocionante y creo que todos los actores lo hicieron realmente genial. Los protagonistas no murieron jajaja y eso siempre me deja con una sensación de alivio. La trama no es tan obvia así que desde el principio no sabes lo que está pasando. Además incluye cierto grado de humor que me encanta.
