Cine Tv contest #32 (Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s stone)

Hello Hivians, hope you all are having a great day?

When I think about Autumn what pops up in my head is the view of leaves changing colour, then when I think of an autumn movie the thought of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s stone” comes to mind.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s stone is the first of the Harry Potter film series, it’s a 2001 movie written by Steve Kloves, produced by David Heyman and directed by Chris Columbus.

The major cast stars Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley and Emma Watson as Hermione Granger.

Harry Potter, an eleven year old boy who lived with his uncaring uncle and aunt before he was admitted to Hogwarts school became an orphan when the evil Lord Voldemort attacked and killed his parents. The mystery of how he survived Voldemort attack made him famous, the attack left a scar on his forehead.

During his journey in a train to Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry he met Ron Weasley who later became his best friend and also Hermione Granger who was also his close friend.

The movie was about their time as newbies at Hogwarts school, the difficulties they encountered on their journey in learning about magic and using their magic to keep the school and the world safe by protecting the philosopher’s stone from Voldemort who wanted to use it to become immortal, not forgetting the fun time they had at Hogwarts since they were grouped into houses. Harry, Ron and Hermione ended up in the same Gryffindor house. Not forgetting Harry father’s cloak of invisibility which the trio used during their secret missions.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s stone movie portrays the season of autumn to me because a lot of outdoor games took place with lots of fun and breathtaking moments.

Being an orphan, his uncle was shocked when Harry received a letter, his uncle tore the letter but it kept coming everyday which he continued to tear until there was a fall of letters in the house which tormented their family.

The glow/ light that came on Harry when he got his first wand depicts autumn to me. One part of the movie that represented autumn to me was during their first flying lesson in an open field at Hogwarts where they were thought how to pick up their flying broomstick by saying ‘UP!’ There was a student whose flying broom hit him on the face, another was able to get on his flying broom which he flew in but couldn’t control although Harry successfully picked up his broom. There was also a forbidden dark forest.

During autumn the leaves have a golden appearance similar to the golden flying ball used in the movie during their quidditch games in the field where the winner must fly with his broom stick then catch the flying golden ball.
Autumn marks the shift from summer to winter similarly the movie marks a shift of the trio as ordinary kids with untapped magical powers to powerful wizards and witch.
