Welcome my dear heroic travelers of the internet and thank you very much for having made a temporary stop in my post, I have always been quite oblivious to the DC Comics cinematographic universe, it is only recently that I started to watch some of their films, one of them is the one that today brings together "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" which is the second arrival of Captain Marvel to the cinema. Without further ado, prepare to be struck by lightning because we are about to begin.
Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros heroicos del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, siempre he sido bastante ajeno al universo cinematográfico de DC Comics es recientemente que empecé a ver algunos de sus filmes, uno de ellos es el que hoy nos reúne "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" la cual es la segunda llegada del Capitán Maravilla al cine. Sin más que agregar prepárense para que les caiga un rayo pues estamos por comenzar.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods was released in March of this year, it is based on the comics of the same name, directed by David F. Sandberg, produced by New Line Cinema and DC Studios, and has a duration of 2 hours and 10 minutes. It is an action and superhero film, the story focuses again on Billy Batson and his family 2 years after the events of the prequel, the daughters of Atlas break into a museum and steal the wizard's broken staff in order to regain their powers as goddesses and thus be able to take revenge on all of humanity by exiling all of its people for thousands of years, it is because of this that the champions with the magic of Shazam must face the new calamity that threatens the earth.

Es un filme de acción y superhéroes, la historia enfoca nuevamente a Billy Batson y su familia 2 años después de los acontecimientos de la precuela, las hijas de Atlas irrumpen en un museo y roban el bastón roto del mago a fin de recuperar sus poderes como diosas y así poder vengarse de toda la humanidad por lo que exiliar a toda su gente durante miles de años, es debido a ello que los campeones con la magia de Shazam deberán enfrentarse a la nueva calamidad que asecha a la tierra.

The soundtrack is well done in general terms, it fulfills its function of providing musical accompaniment to the film, in some cases it dares to show something more dramatic and epic but this happens very rarely so it is not an achievement so remarkable.
La banda sonora está bien lograda a rasgos generales, esta cumple su función de dar un acompañamiento musical al filme, en algunos casos está se atreve a mostrar algo más dramático y épico pero son muy pocas las veces que esto pasa así que no es un logro tan destacable.
The world building is quite strange, it seeks to represent a society that is dissatisfied with the different feats of the heroes because they leave too much havoc after each action, the problem with this is that said discontent is not evident, on the contrary, There is a certain degree of appreciation for the heroes which creates an incongruity. Outside of this, there is also evidence of a clear society lacking a soul that during a dangerous situation remains static and it is this lack of panic at first that makes them look like a city without a soul. The world of the gods also has nothing that stands out, this makes it feel completely monotonous and lacking anything that really gives it personality, even the rock of eternity has more things that make it stand out even though it is less important. The special effects are simply fantastic, showing all kinds of amazing elements and colorful powers, it is unfortunate that it is the only thing that stands out in this section.
La construcción de mundo es bastante extraña, esta busca representar una sociedad que se encuentra disconforme con las diferentes hazañas de los héroes debido a que dejan demasiados estragos tras cada acción, el problema con esto es que no se evidencia dicho descontento, por el contrario, existe cierto grado de aprecio por los héroes lo que genera una incongruencia. Fuera de ello también se evidencia una clara sociedad carente de alma que durante una situación de peligro se mantienen estáticos y es esa falta de pánico en un primer momento lo que los hace ver como una ciudad sin alma. El mundo de los dioses tampoco tiene nada que destaque, esto hace que se sienta completamente monótono y carente de algo que realmente le dé personalidad, incluso la roca de la eternidad tienes más cosas que lo hagan destacar aún teniendo menos importancia. Los efectos especiales son sencillamente fantásticos mostrando todo tipo de elementos alucinantes y poderes vistosos, es lamentable que sea lo único destacable de este apartado.
The plot feels like a joke that doesn't take itself seriously, this is because the level of comedy is exaggerated to the point that it interrupts important moments of the narrative as well as moments of action, in turn , some "funny" moments aren't funny at all and just end up being annoying. Another problem with the plot is that it constantly depends on the imbecility of the characters to advance, they commit countless stupid things that only complicate everything unnecessarily. Lastly, the duration is exaggerated, the film invests an absurd amount of time in meaningless things that have no influence on anything and only feel like filler, these end up making the film feel tedious and boring.
La trama se siente como un chiste que no se toma en serio a sí misma, lo anterior se debe a que el nivel de comedia es exagerada al punto de que interrumpe los momentos importantes de la narrativa así como los momentos de acción, a su vez, algunos momentos "graciosos" no lo son en absoluto y solo terminan siendo molestos. Otro problema con la trama es que constantemente depende de la imbecilidad de los personajes para avanzar, estos cometen un sin número de estupideces que solo complican todo de forma innecesaria. Por último la duración es exagerada, el filme invierte una cantidad de tiempo absurda en cosas sin sentido que no influyen en nada y solo se sienten como relleno, estos terminan haciendo que la cinta se sienta tediosa y aburrida.
The characters are too boring, there are many of them and there is not enough time to give even a decent characterization to all of them, and some are even completely superfluous. The film focuses a lot on Freddy's love relationship, which has too much time on screen for the little importance it ends up having, and he is also a complete insufferable bore who is unpleasant because of his imbecile way of being. The villains are quite bland, their thirst for revenge could have had an interesting weight but it ends up becoming something insipid and meaningless.

El filme se enfoca mucho en la relación amorosa de Freddy la cual tiene demasiado tiempo en pantalla para la poca importancia que termina teniendo, además, es un completo pelmazo insufrible que es desagradable por su forma tan imbécil de ser. Las villanas son bastante sosas, su sed de venganza pudo tener un peso interesante pero termina convirtiéndose en algo insípido y carente de sentido.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods is a joke that laughs at itself and that ends up hindering the correct development of its different elements. The most annoying of all is the level of imbecility that its characters have, which is worthy of someone with mental problems and difficulty in be rational. It is for all of the above that it deserves 2 stars out of 7, adding comedy to lighten the moments of tension is fine but overdoing it only ruins any intention of something serious, not even the appearance of Wonder Woman saves it from being a disaster.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods es un chiste que se ríe de sí misma y eso termina entorpeciendo el correcto desarrollo de sus diferentes elementos, lo más molesto de todo es el nivel de imbecilidad que tienen sus personajes que es digna de alguien con problemas mentales y dificultad para ser racional. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 2 estrellas de 7, añadir comedia para aligerar los momentos de tensión está bien pero excederse solo arruina cualquier intención de algo serio, ni siquiera la aparición de Wonder Woman la salva de ser un desastre.
