Hola a todos los amigos de CinetV. Es la primera vez que participo en los concursos de la comunidad (Concurso aquí) y lo haré con una película que vi varias veces durante mi infancia. Se trata de "Ice Princess". Tiene entre sus géneros comedia y drama. Fue dirigida por Tim Fywell en 2005 y cuenta con un gran reparto de actores estadounidenses.
Pensando en una película que me gustaba mucho y que tenía entre sus temas la competición, me dije: ¡Oh, me gustó mucho una sobre patinaje sobre hielo! Actualmente se están celebrando los Juegos Olímpicos y me gusta ver las competiciones de natación, esgrima, gimnasia artística, taekwondo y lucha libre. Aunque, mis deportes favoritos son las artes marciales y el patinaje sobre hielo.
Esta película es encantadora. La historia se centra en Casey Carlyle, interpretada por Michelle Trachtenberg. Casey es una chica inteligente que estudia en el instituto, tiene claro que debe esforzarse en sus asignaturas para tener un buen futuro. Sin embargo, su vida cambia por completo cuando descubre su pasión por el patinaje. A medida que se adentra más y más en este mundo, se enfrenta a grandes retos, rivalidades y a la necesidad de encontrarse a sí misma.
Recuerdo que me reí un par de veces mientras veía la película por sus toques de humor, pero también me entraron ganas de patinar igual que ella. De hecho, por aquella época no paraba de pedir a mis padres que me compraran patines. Pedía patines a todo el que podía, hasta que una de mis tías se apiadó de mí y me los compró. Era una patinadora bastante temeraria porque me gustaba patinar en la calle por donde pasaban los autos, ya que la superficie era más lisa.
Creo que el mensaje más inspirador de esta película es que la gente debe seguir sus sueños pase lo que pase, si lo piensas bien, los adultos que siguen sus sueños son más felices. La interpretación de Michelle Trachtenberg me pareció muy convincente y consiguió transmitir su lucha interna entre su deseo de complacer las expectativas de su familia y su deseo de ser una gran patinadora. También destaca la interpretación de Kim Cattrall como la madre de Casey, que, aunque bienintencionada, representa a esas madres que presionan demasiado a sus hijos adolescentes. Si hay algo que mi madre siempre dice es que no puedes imponer cosas a los adolescentes, tienes que hablar mucho con ellos, guiarles y dejar que decidan por sí mismos lo que quieren.
La película pone de relieve que el patinaje no es solo un deporte, sino también una forma de arte que permite a la protagonista expresarse y sentir confianza en sí misma. Las escenas de patinaje son geniales. Creo que es uno de los puntos fuertes de la película. Además, cuenta con un reparto de actores que es una delicia, incluida Hayden Panettiere como rival de Casey, lo que añade una dinámica interesante a la trama.
En "Ice Princess", como en otras producciones de Disney, hay muchos detalles previsibles y algunas escenas que parecen superficiales, pero a pesar de ello, la película no deja de brillar por su autenticidad y su fuerte mensaje que invita al espectador a reflexionar.
En fin, esta es la película que he elegido para participar en el concurso, porque me parece muy divertida y conmovedora. Aunque no sea una obra maestra del cine de competición deportiva, estoy seguro de que mucha gente de mi generación tendrá un bonito recuerdo leyendo el blog (si es que vieron la película). Así que aprovecho para recomendarla a todos aquellos que no la hayan visto, sería perfecta si la ponen en una tarde familiar comiendo palomitas. Les aseguro que les gustará 🍿.
Hello to all CinetV friends. This is my first time participating in the community contests (Contest here)and I will do it with a movie that I saw several times during my childhood. It is "Ice Princess". It has among its genres comedy and drama. It was directed by Tim Fywell in 2005 and features a great cast of American actors.
Thinking of a movie that I really liked and that had competition among its themes, I said to myself: Oh, I really liked one about snowboard! Currently the Olympic Games are taking place and I like to watch swimming, fencing, artistic gymnastics, taekwondo and wrestling competitions. Although, my favorite sports are martial arts and snowboard.
This film is a charmer. The story focuses on Casey Carlyle, played by Michelle Trachtenberg. Casey is a smart girl who is studying in high school, she is clear that she has to work hard in her subjects to have a good future. However, her life changes completely when she discovers her passion for skating. As she gets deeper and deeper into this world, she faces great challenges, rivalries and the need to find herself.
I remember laughing a couple of times while watching the movie because of its touches of humor, but I also felt like skating just like her. In fact, around that time I kept asking my parents to buy me skates. I asked everyone who could afford them for skates, until one of my aunts took pity on me and bought them for me. I was a pretty reckless skater because I liked to skate on the street where cars were passing by, as the surface was smoother.
I think the most inspiring message in this film is that people should follow their dreams no matter what, if you think about it, adults who follow their dreams are happier. I found Michelle Trachtenberg's performance very convincing and she managed to convey her internal struggle between her desire to please her family's expectations and her desire to be a great skater. Also notable is Kim Cattrall's performance as Casey's mother, who, while well-meaning, represents those mothers who put too much pressure on their teenage children. If there's one thing my mom always says, it's that you can't impose things on teenagers, you have to talk to them a lot, guide them and let them decide on their own what they want.
The film highlights that skating is not only a sport, but also an art form that allows the protagonist to express herself and feel self-confidence. The skating scenes are great. I think it's one of the film's strongest points. Plus, it features a cast of actors that are a treat, including Hayden Panettiere as Casey's rival, which adds an interesting dynamic to the plot.
In "Ice Princess" as in other Disney productions there are many predictable details and some scenes that feel superficial, but despite this, the film does not fail to shine for its authenticity and its strong message that invites the viewer to reflect.
Anyway, this is the film I chose to enter in the contest, because I think it is very funny and touching. Although it may not be a masterpiece of sports competition cinema, I'm sure many people of my generation will have a nice memory reading the blog (if they saw the movie). So I take this opportunity to recommend it to all those who haven't seen it, it would be perfect if you play it in a family afternoon eating popcorn. I assure you that you will like it 🍿.
