I must start by saying that it was not easy to select just one film by this wonderful actress who, both in comedy and serious performances, lights up the big screen whenever she appears.

That's why I selected Crazy Obsession, a 2009 film directed by Phil Traill. It is one of my favorite comedies because the witticisms of Mary Horowitz, the character played by Sandra in this opportunity, makes us die laughing and in the middle of the comedy we also have a teaching.

Debo comenzar diciendo que no fue fácil seleccionar una sola película de esta maravillosa actriz que, tanto en la comedia como en interpretaciones serias, ilumina la gran pantalla cuando aparece.

Es por eso que seleccioné Loca obsesión, un filme del año 2009, dirigido por Phil Traill. Es una de mis comedias favoritas porque las ocurrencias de Mary Horowitz, personaje que interpreta Sandra en esta oportunidad, nos hace morir de risa y en medio de la comedia también tenemos una enseñanza.

Her parents plan a blind date for Mery who is a very smart girl, works in an office and has a very special way of dressing. Characterized by her amazing red boots.

Steve, played by the handsome guy is the lucky guy that Mary set her eyes on him, but seeing that the girl is a bit crazy he starts to run away from her trying everything to get rid of his stalker. She really falls in love with the boy and it turns into an obsession. So much so that she goes all over the country chasing him, while he who is a cameraman of the weather report on the TV news, is covering a storm that is moving across the territory. Mery wants to convince him that they were born to be together.

Sus padres planean una cita a ciegas para Mery que es una chica muy inteligente, trabaja en una oficina y tiene una forma muy especial de vestir. Caracterizada por sus increíbles botas de color rojo.

Steve, interpretado por el guapo es el chico afortunado de que Mary posara sus ojos en él, pero al ver que la chica está un poco loca comienza a escapar de ella intentando todo para deshacerse de su acosadora. Ella realmente se enamora del chico y se transforma en una obsesión. Tanto así que recorre todo el país detrás persiguiendolo, mientras él que es camarógrafo del reporte del clima en el noticiero de la televisión, va cubriendo una tormenta que se desplaza por todo el territorio. Mery quiere convencerlo de que nacieron para estar juntos.

The lesson that this film teaches us is that we should not try to pretend to be someone we are not. Mery is a transparent woman who does not care about what people say or fashion trends, she is happy with her life. She sees and lives life in her own way and does not mind getting her red boots dirty to do her best and help other people.

La enseñanza que nos deja esta película, es que no debemos tratar de aparentar ser alguien que no somos. Mery es una mujer transparente que no le importa el qué dirán ni las corrientes de moda, está feliz con su vida. Ve y vive la vida a su manera y no le importa ensuciarse las botas rojas para dar lo mejor de sí y ayudar a otras personas.
