It has been about two weeks since the Hive-Engine witness system has gone live. I was really excited for this to happen, so I joined in right on the start. In the last week I finally managed to get into one of the top spots (rank 4 currently), thanks to the help of you and because of the support of the other Hive-Engine witnesses:
In this post I will give you a short summary of what this is all about and how you can participate yourself and support the project.
Two weeks ago Hive-Engine launched their P2P system, which finally makes Hive-Engine more decentralized. Blocks added to the sidechain are verified by special nodes called witnesses, similarly as for HIVE. At the start there were a total of 6 main witnesses and 1 backup witness in every round. This Monday however an update went live, which increased the number of witnesses to a total of 10 plus 1 backup witness per round.
The stake of witnesses is decided using the token WORKERBEE. It can be acquired by purchasing it on the market e.g. on https://hive-engine.com. Every user can vote for up to 30 witnesses and the witness rank is decided by the total stake a witness has. You can vote for a witness using the tool I developed https://primersion.com/he-witnesses, using https://tribaldex.com or by directly voting for me using the neat little tool developed by @dannychain: https://he-voter.vercel.app/primersion
If you decide to acquire some WORKERBEE, this will also be useful to yourself, because every hour 10 BEE is distributed to 10 random people, which have staked WORKERBEE. The more you have, the higher your chances. With the 775 WORKERBEE I have staked, I am receiving about 1 BEE per day:
Summarizing the above, by acquiring and staking WORKERBEE you can help make Hive-Engine more decentralized, you can support me as a witness ;) and on the side you will earn some BEE yourself.
My witness node has been running really stable until now. I have missed 6 blocks two weeks ago when I was setting up my witness and something was wrong with my setup. Since then I didn't miss a single block. The update from version 1.1.0 to version 1.2.0 also went pretty smooth last week and the node was done for less than 5 minutes.

Vor ziemlich genau zwei Wochen wurde das Hive-Engine Witness System endlich live geschalten. Ich habe mich schon sehr darauf gefreut und bin deshalb gleich zu Beginn eingestiegen und selbst zum Hive-Engine Witness geworden. Letzte Woche habe ich es endlich geschafft einen Top-Spot zu ergattern (aktuell Platz 4). Danke an alle die mich dabei unterstützen und danke auch an die anderen Witnesse für eure Unterstützung:
In diesem Beitrag gebe ich nochmal eine kurze Zusammenfassung was denn der Sinn hinter der ganzen Sache ist.
Vor zwei Wochen hat Hive-Engine ein P2P System live geschalten, welches Hive-Engine endlich dezentraler macht. Bevor Blöcke zur Sidechain hinzugefügt werden, werden diese nun von speziellen Nodes, den Witnesses, validiert, ähnlich wie bei HIVE. Zu Beginn waren das 6 Haupt-Witnesse plus 1 Backup-Witness die in jeder Runde die Blöcke validieren. Diesen Montag wurde ein Update ausgerollt, welches diese auf 10 plus 1 Backup-Witness erhöht hat.
Der Stake von Witnessen wird durch WORKERBEE bestimmt. Dieses kann am Markt gekauft werden zum Beispiel auf https://hive-engine.com. Jeder Nutzer kann für bis zu 30 Witnesse voten und der Witness Rang wird schlussendlich durch den gesamten Stake bestimmt. Ihr könnt für einen Witness mit Hilfe des Tools, das ich entwickelt habe, unter https://primersion.com/he-witnesses voten oder mittels https://tribaldex.com. Wenn Ihr euch dazu entschließt ein bisschen WORKERBEE zu kaufen (oder wenn ihr schon welches besitzt), bringt euch das selber auch etwas. Denn jede Stunde werden 10 BEE and 10 zufällige Leute verteilt, welche WORKERBEE staken. Je mehr Stake, desto größer die Wahrscheinlichkeit. Mit meinen 775 WORKERBEE bringt mir das in etwa 1 BEE pro Tag:
Also um den vorigen Absatz zusammenzufassen, indem Ihr WORKERBEE kauft und staked, könnt ihr die Dezentralisierung von Hive-Engine unterstützen, Ihr könnt mich als Witness unterstützen ;) und nebenbei könnt Ihr auch noch selber etwas BEE verdienen.
Mein Witness Node läuft bis jetzt sehr stabil. Vor 2 Wochen habe ich beim Aufsetzen meines Witness Nodes 6 Blöcke verpasst, weil mit meinem Setup etwas nicht gestimmt hat. Seither habe ich keinen einzigen Block mehr verpasst. Das Update von Version 1.1.0 auf Version 1.2.0 hat auch problemlos funktioniert und mein Node war für weiger als 5 Minuten offline.
Wie ich bereits oben erwähnt habe trage ich, mit dem Tool das ich entwickle, auch selber etwas zum Hive-Engine Ökosystem bei.
