This summer there was a lot going on! I also had spend some days in Vienna. It was not a vacation, but a few walks were still possible. I found it especially beautiful at the Danube! The river, the big ships and the walk along the Danube were my highlights. I've been to Vienna some times, but I don't think I've ever been to the Danube! It's always nice to explore something new.
Heuer im Sommer war echt einiges los! Ein paar Tage hatte ich auch in Wien zu tun. Es war kein Urlaub, aber ein paar Spaziergänge waren trotzdem möglich. Besonders schön fand ich es an der Donau! Der Fluss, die großen Schiffe und der Spazierweg an der Donau waren mein Highlight. Ich war zwar schon öfter in Wien, aber an der Donau war ich glaub ich noch nie! Schön, immer wieder was Neues zu erkunden.
I had to do in the 2nd district and also lived there. The many, many house complexes have somehow really "flashed" me. The buildings are very beautiful and also the green spaces in between is great prepared. You woun´t miss here anything, there are playgrounds, cafes around the corner and stores. I also love the green roof terraces, but never the less these amount of houses were a bit to much for me. I can not really put it into words, although everything is really nice and beautifully prepared!
Ich hatte im 2. Bezirk zu tun und wohnte auch dort. Die vielen, vielen Häuserkomplexe haben mich irgendwie echt „geflashed“. Ich finde die Bauten sind sehr schön und auch die Grünanlagen zwischendrin finde ich toll hergerichtet. Hier fehlt einfach nichts, ob Spielplatz, Cafe um die Ecke oder Geschäfte. Auch finde ich die vielen begrünten Dachterrassen genial, aber irgendwie hab ich diese Menge an Häusern doch nicht ganz „gepackt“. Für mich war es einfach zu viel, ich kann es gar nicht richtig in Worte fassen, obwohl alles wirklich sehr ordentlich und schön hergerichtet ist!

Wien bei Nacht hat auch Flair. In der Ferne der beleuchtete Prater, auf der anderen Seite die Donau… kann schon was!
Once I went to the Prater, or rather past the Prater... then to the Ernst Happel Stadium, along the beautiful avenue. The walk was nice and I really got to see some of Vienna. The weather was rainy at first, but than it cleared up and it became a nice, warm day after all.
Einmal ging es dann zum Prater, bzw. vorbei am Prater… zum Ernst Happel Stadion, entlang der schönen Allee. Der Spaziergang war schön und ich hab wirklich einiges von Wien gesehen. Das Wetter war anfangs regnerisch, aber auch das klärte sich dann auf, sodass es doch noch ein schöner, warmer Tag wurde.
So much for my few busy days in Vienna this summer.
In any case, I know that the next time I'm here, I want to spend more time at the Danube. 😊
Soviel zu meinen paar arbeitsintensiven Tagen in Wien in diesem Sommer.
Auf jeden Fall weiß ich, dass ich, wenn ich das nächste Mal hier bin, mehr Zeit an der Donau verbringen möchte 😊
