Every February, the moss season begins to cover the rocks at the beach in Nam O, Da Nang. Giving the surroundings a fresh green colour makes anyone feel one with nature. These green moss carpets will become a place worth visiting after the Vietnamese New Year. A very attractive point for me and photographers, as well as you who love to travel. Because the magical beauty of the beach here has been associated with the people of Da Nang for generations. On this trip, I went with my uncle, who is also a photography lover. Every year we still come here to take pictures together, but it's still the same. But for those who love photography, it's called a beautiful moment only once a year. In the moss season, I usually come here many times, because you can't always be lucky to take the pictures you want, some days go early in the morning when the sun has not yet risen, sometimes go. late afternoon of the day. But in my experience, you should go early in the morning or in the evening. During the tides, the sea surface recedes. Only then will the rocky beaches appear more. It will be beautiful when you are here early in the morning, dawn will rise from the right-hand side of the beach, but from 7 am onwards the water starts rising very quickly. When the water rises quickly, it will cover all the moss-covered rocks below.
Nam O moss rock beach, also known as Nam O Reef, is located about 15 km from the centre of Da Nang city in Nam O fishing village, Hoa Hiep Nam ward, Lien Chieu district. To get to Nam O fishing village, you can drive from Da Nang city centre bus station, follow Ton Duc Thang street and then Nguyen Luong Bang Street. Going up to Nam O will have a bridge across the Cu De river, but don't go across the bridge, look to the right-hand side there will be a small path leading to the beach. This road intersects with the North-South railway. Follow the small path and you will go straight to Nam O beach. I have written an article about this Nam O beach before, in that article I described in detail the beach here. But in the annual moss-and-stone season, I often come to this place to take pictures. When the sun rises high at noon, the moss will turn yellow, which looks very beautiful. The weather to hunt moss usually falls around the end of February, the beginning of March. However, this year the weather is much warmer and sunny, the moss is greener, grows more and covers earlier than usual. Co Thach Green Moss has also inspired many amateur and professional photographers to take a lot of beautiful photos. Just looking at it makes me feel itchy, I just want to carry my backpack on the road. But to take good photos of Nam O moss season also takes a lot of work because it clings to the sea level up or down, if the water is too high it will cover the mossy rocks if the water level is too low also makes the moss look drier. The colour of the sea is most beautiful when the sea is calm in the early morning or the afternoon. If you shoot with a camera, you should bring filters and a camera tripod, the photos will be better when you shoot at low speed. The water will be moved and your photos will be more impressive than ever.
However, Nam O green moss season is short each year, so you need to arrange and take advantage of going early, usually, the moss season only lasts 1 month or two months at most. In addition, when coming here, you must also pay attention to preserving the landscape in general and above all not pollute the environment. To protect the natural beauty of this livable city. Do not forget to pay attention when walking on slippery rocks full of moss and moss for your safety and limit standing on the rocks, this will cause the moss to peel off, people who come later will not take pictures You get good photos, so let's take care of the landscape.
