SPANISH FOOD FEAST

Aside from ass-kicking, I used to be a pretty decent cook in my humble little kitchen located somewhere in Timbuktu. It is so far that friends decline to pay me a visit. Being a modern woman is tough! Constantly have to strive for good grades, thriving career, beautiful from the inside out, charitable, religious, clean plus cook well, become the breadwinner, and more. Unlike a type of huge swimming creature on the blockchain space, they can post whatever with repeated photos and still get rewarded disproportionately well. Life becomes too depressing in comparison.

Since AI baby bots will be available sooner or later in the market, why complicate life to impress the opposite gender? I used to pity those for spoiling the market but later realized they got trapped in a system. Experience taught me to be less harsh on others. Still, whenever I'm having a cheat day or pigging out, I heard an imaginary Dalai Lamaish voice whispering in my head, "Wheat, seafood is different from vegetables!" Anyway, these pictures are kept on HIVE to motivate ME whenever I'm down.

Tortilla de Patatas

There are tricks to making a great "Tortilla de Patatas" besides using the freshest ingredients you could possibly find. Fresh here means growing your own potatoes in the backyard, waiting for the hen to lay several eggs, and cold pressing olive oil with your own hands. Remember to add the oil-fried potato slices into beaten runny eggs before pouring the entire mixture into the preheated pan. This trick ensures the middle of the tortilla is evenly cooked. To be on the safe side, use Pasteurized eggs if you are afraid. Personally, I think Pasteurized eggs have better usage such as for making egg coffee. That's for another post.

The next colorful tapas was only for decorative purposes. I store-bought bread, cheese, chorizo sausage, and pickled olives. The only homemade part was that I char-baked some capsicum in the oven then peeled them. The picture below demonstrated my assembling abilities! At least I can put together something nice la...🤣

No Name Tapas

The shrimp tapas was super easy to make. Just lightly fried lots of garlic slices in olive oil. Later, throw in the shrimps before adding the white wine. Garnished with parsley for color.

Gambas al ajillo

Any feast will be incomplete without a vegetable dish. The mushroom dish was very simple and delicious. Done within minutes. Used white Swiss mushrooms for preparing the tapas below.

The pan-fried cod was another easy dish. The only tedious part was baking capsicum, garlic, and onion for 45 minutes in the oven and peeling everything later on. Simple but exuded an expensive aura type of dish.

Bacalao y escalivada

The priciest dish was the paella due to saffron. Never ever stinge on the saffron. It made a huge difference!

Last but not least, I also made churros with chocolate sauce. I used a dark Ghana chocolate bar. As always, the best is to look for sustainably sourced or fair trade ones. Churros are traditionally made with only flour, water, salt, and olive oil. Eggs are usually omitted. The batter is subsequently deep-fried in olive oil.

Alright! I've finally completed the Spanish feast porn series. Even though it's only food for the eye, let me remind you to wipe those drools, go out, then take a long stroll. The prior line absolves my ass from from all your weight management issues.

Thank you for reading!

Hasta pronto,
