Hey there, Hivers! It's been 2 weeks plus !! Time goes by fast when you're busy. It feels like yesterday! b.. but I'm back with another mouth-watering post. The universe must be in love with my belly 'cause it’s blessed me with a heavenly Korean joint right next to our brand-new dispensary - The Spot Dispensary in Chiang Mai. And not just any random Korean spot, but one run by a Korean couple. That’s as real as it gets πŸ‡°πŸ‡· 🍜

The place is called Misone, and it's not just another restaurant on the block. On one of my visits, I had dakgalbi. For those who don't know, dakgalbi is a popular Korean dish made from marinated spicy chicken, mixed with sweet potatoes, cabbage, perilla leaves, and rice cake, all stir-fried together. It's served on a sizzling hot plate that keeps your food warm and your heart warmer #lol. It's a heaping portion - I mean, it could easily feed 2-3 people, 'cause my bf, Kev and I were totally stuffed!

One of the visits, I had the jajangmyeon. Imagine thick, firm noodles, not unlike udon, drenched in a rich, black soybean sauce with diced pork and vegetables. Subtle but real good.

Can we talk about their Korean pork belly buffet? For a mere 250 baht, you can pig out (pun fully intended) on tender, succulent slabs of pork belly. I'm all for that on my next visit when I feel like load tons of pork in one sitting.

What I love the most are their side dishes. All the banchan (that's 'side dishes' for the uninitiated) are absolutely terrific! Speaking of banchan, Misone doesn't just stop at one or two types of kimchi – they've got an entire line-up! There are about ten different side dishes in total, all unlimited, whether you're ordering Γ  la carte or going all-in with the buffet. This assortment of sides not only adds a burst of flavors to your meal, but it's also super healthy. Kimchi, in particular, is excellent for gut health. Super good palette cleanser too. I can eat kimchi with every meal: steak, fried rice, grilled meat and rice and so on, you name it.

The best part? It's conveniently located right next to our dispensary. So, if you're in the area, do drop by Misone for a Korean feast. And don't forget to stop by at The Spot Dispensary and say hi! Catch you guys in the next post. Happy munching! :)
