Recently, I had the opportunity to explore central Thailand, a refreshing and rejuvenating experience that charged my work-life batteries. Our trip included a visit to Pattaya, another popular tourist city. We aimed to network in the southern region for our cannabis business and also revisit the house where I lived for eight months a year and a half ago.

Unlike my previous stays, this time I was accompanied by my family. My dad and step-mom took us to their favorite locale, the Khao Si Chan mountain area. Surrounded by mountains, it was a scenic retreat. Their go-to dining spot is Moom Aroi Seafood Restaurant, one of Pattaya’s most famous eateries. They have a lot of locations around but feel like this one is the shit. What sets this one apart is its hilltop location, complete with picturesque scenery that feels like a palace (European style).

The view alone makes it a great spot for relaxation, perhaps even accompanied by a beer. As for the food, we indulged in several seafood dishes. First up was a Thai-style spicy salad featuring an assortment of seafood roes and eggs. It's a fishy kind of dish but for me, it's to die for :)

Next was fried fish—crispy on the outside and fresh and soft on the inside. We also ordered my dad’s (and my) favorite dish, a simple stir-fry of cabbage with fish sauce. A soup served as a palate cleanser and added moisture to the meal.

Surprisingly, my dad ordered salmon sashimi, which, though not native to Pattaya, is available due to the restaurant’s separate Japanese section. So yes, if you are craving Japanese food and want to enjoy it with such sick view, this place might be one of the best choices here.

We enjoyed our meal as the sun set, accompanied by live music and a gentle breeze. If you find yourself in Pattaya, Moom Aroi Seafood Restaurant (this location exactly) is a must-visit. I’m definitely planning on returning, and perhaps I’ll bring some friends along next time.
