Hello, food lovers
What are you cooking today?
Because I'm uploading this article it's getting late, so let's just say the recipe I'm going to skip can be saved for food lovers for another day's menu.
I want to share a simple and traditional home-cooked recipe: GREEN CHILLI JENGKOL.
Actually, certain circles really don't like jengkol. Apart from having a slightly bitter taste, jengkol also leaves an unpleasant odor in the mouth, feces, and even urine after eating it. But, take it easy ... Bad smell in the mouth can be removed by brushing your teeth. Jengkol is also believed to be good for people with diabetes. Well, if you have problems with your stomach, you should not consume too much Jengkol, because it has a fairly high acid substance.
Let's go straight to the INGREDIENTS!
- 250gram jengkol
- coffee powder
- lime betel
- big green chili
- Cayenne pepper
- green tomatoes (optional)
- 8 cloves of garlic
- 4 cloves garlic
- two hazelnuts
- pepper powder
- lime leaves
- Bay leaf
Rend jengkol with whiting water for 24 hours. After a day, clean the jengkol. Remove the skin.
Boil jengkol with enough water. Add coffee grounds while boiling. This is intended so that the smell of jengkol is not too strong. Boil until soft. Lift. Drain well.
Crush the jengkol to make it soft. Fry on medium heat.
Add onion, garlic, green chili, cayenne, tomato, candlenut.
heat the oil.
add all the mashed ingredients. Add lime leaves, galangal, bay leaf, sugar, salt, and flavoring.
stir fry until fragrant then add jengkol. Add a little water. Boil for a while. Cook until tender. Lift and serve.
Jengkol green chili is suitable to be eaten with warm rice and crackers. Good luck!
