Green chana or cholia is a winter vegetable which is similar to peas but tastes different and tasty. It’s a simple recipe but is full of taste and spices. For lot of people, green chana is an unexplored veggie but I strongly recommend trying this recipe.
Ingredients
200 Gms green chana (cholia),
200 gms paneer,
1 onion,
1 tomato,
5-6 garlic cloves,
1 small Piece of ginger,
2 green chillis,
salt,
red chilli powder,
turmeric powder,
coriander powder
Method
Step 1: Wash the paneer well and cut each into equal pieces. Sauté the paneer cubes in 2 spoons of oil. Keep aside.
Step 2: take onion, tomato, garlic and ginger in a mixer grinder and form a fine paste.
Step 3: heat oil in a cooker. Add the onion tomato paste to the hot oil and let it cook
Step 4: add all spices and mix well, cover with lid and let it cook for about 10 minutes
Step 5: Add the paneer and cholia and mix well. Add around 200 ml water and give it a good mix.
Step 5: close the lid and cook until 2 whistles.
Step 6: serve hot with chapatis or Parantha.
