Hey guys,
As I said in my first post about Budapest I would do a special post dedicated only to food and what I tasted there.I will also include the information of every place I went to eat. Let’s start.
First visit was the historical Cafe New York.
I beautiful building and inside was like a palace. but very overpriced a coffee is ranging from 6.5 to 12 euros.
In my first day I went to a place called mazel tov. Mazel tov is located in the 7th district of Budapest in the middle of the historical quarter that nowadays is the most vibrant, colourful and tasty place to visit in Budapest. Its cuisine is a fusion cuisine between Hungarian and Jewish cuisine. In mazel tov I tasted the best food out of every place I visited.
I started with a tomato soup
And Labane A plate of homemade yoghurt cream cheese topped with olive oil, marinated pepper and fried artichoke, served with grilled pita
And for main dish
Falafel sandwich Grilled pita filled with hummus, Israeli salad, cabbage and crispy falafel. The plate comes with homemade potato chips and tahini.
And M-T Pastrami 14 days aged smoked brisket, homemade yellow mustard and pickled cucumber served in rye bread with Middle Eastern bbq sauce
