RE: In The Kitchen With Kat-Apple Pie The Cake

Hey, just wanted to let you know, I finally tried out this recipe. I made some changes, since I didn't have any yellow cake mix or instant pudding lying about, so I made everything from scratch. I also substituted cloves for allspice, and I put plain whipped cream on top instead of making frosting. It was delicious, very filling, not sickeningly sweet, and my house guests seemed to like it as well. Definitely a winner, and going into my personal cookbook!

I still haven't gotten round to trying your mock apple pie recipe. My next experiment will be to attempt replicating a delicious apple cobbler swirl bread that I used to buy all the time, but can't find anymore.
