Birthdays are the best days and best occasions. We can feel special every greetings we get from our love ones, their love and attention. Even simple greetings from them saying "Happy Birthday" means a lot to us.
It was my hubby's birthday and I asked him where to celebrate and what to prepare and eat for his birthday. I made a suggestion maybe we can dine in a restaurant, where we can have special dishes. Anyway, birthdays are celebrated only once a year. He answered, "Nowadays we have many expenses, we should have to save money for the incoming days.
He added, why not prepare fried bangus as my birthday request? It's delicious and we can't spend much penny on it. Since it was his birthday I made it delicious and extra special.
We bought one kilo of Bangus ( Milk Fish) in the market and it cost 200 PHP and then spices for 20 pesos. All in all, it cost 220 PHP.
The Ingredients
1 kilo of Bangus
3 medium size of Tomatoes
2 medium size spring onions
1 to 2grams of Sword Pepper
Salt to taste
Cooking Oil
The Procedure
Step 1. Prepare all the spices. Wash it with water.
Step 2. Slice the tomatoes, spring onions, and pepper, and after mixing them in one container.
Step 3. Get your fish and slightly open the upper part of it. Remove the guts and gills. Then wash it thoroughly.
Step 4. Fill the fish first one teaspoon of salt to taste. Slightly rub an amount of salt into the fish's body.
Step 5. Pour the fish with mixed spices. It will taste good when it is filled with more spices.
Step 6. Make your ingredients secure and remain inside the fish. Wrap it with banana stalks. Make sure that the cut will be covered with the stalks.
Step 7. Set aside the remaining spices.
Let's Fry
Set the fire to medium heat and then put the fish on it. Fry it for about 15-20 minutes and when it turns golden brown turned it back to the other side.
Whenever both sides were cooked put it in a clean plate and serve.
How to Make our Spicy Sauce?
Step 1. Get the remaining spices and add soy sauce.
Step 2. Don't forget to add lemon to have a little sourness.

This is now our delicious and spicy bangus with spicy sauce. You may pair this with a cup of rice.

He was then happy when his request was granted. He loves to eat this fried bangus and this is his favorite dish since we discover how to cook like this.

Birthdays happen once a year and everytime when it happens we make it something extra special and we choose to be happy that day.
