Okay, so cooking has got into me as the only timepass in the entire day. Don't know what else to do. Yes, I know making juice isn't considered as part of cooking!
Today tried my hands on something different. Tried doing aloo paratha. Aloo Paratha is one of the most loved food of Punjab and liked mostly by many Indians. I still need a way to figure out how not to let the mashed potato out of the wheat. So if anyone has suggestions kindly comment below.
Ingredients:
- Dough made by wheat flour
- 2 Potatoes
- 1 Onion
- 2 Green Chillies
- 1 tbsp Garam Masala
- 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
- Oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- First boil the potatoes in water. I cut the potato so that it boils faster.
- Once the potato is boiled, put it in a vessel and start mashing it.
- Now add the cut onions and chilli and continue mashing it.
- Now add the garam masala and red chilli powder and mix properly.
- Now make small rolls of the dough and flatten it.
- Make a small roll of the mash potato and place it on the centre of the flattened bread.
- Start rolling the sides and cover the centre.
- Put some wheat flour and slowly flatten it.
- Now heat a pan and pour Oil.
- Keep the flame medium and roast the flattened bread on it.
- Keep flipping till it doesn't cook well.
Serve it hot.
I had it with tomato sauce and 7up.
For better taste you can have it with yoghurt or Mango pickle.
