Is life going to be normal again ?
Last week, we decided to go for a lunch after a long time. This was our first outing, after the second wave of Covid started. We still have the weekend shut down in place, so the only option was to take off from work and go on a week day. And instead of trying some new place, we went to our regular favorite https://michaelskitchen.in/.
We have tried so many restaurants around, but the diversity of food with unmatched taste has made us their regular customer. And the kids just love this place. They do maintain the Covid guidelines strictly, and the owner is none other than a Chef himself. He was a chef in a renowned 5-star hotel, and is very popular. He is present in the kitchen all the time, making sure, the food is prepared with the best quality and taste. He prepares some special items himself. Price wise, its a bit expensive than other restaurants, but if you compare the quality vs price, that you get in the 5-star hotels , this is cheaper. And from my personal experience, we have actually fall in love with this place so much that, we plan to go at least twice in a month there in normal times. If its a lunch, then we even just carry something for the dinner. Though they deliver through the food apps (Zomato, Swiggy etc), they do not deliver to my place, since its a bit far from us. Otherwise, we would have made at least once a week.
On the table, there is QR code, which you can scan, and it will take you to the site, where you can look at the menu and order your items at https://dinein.petpooja.com/qr/tw0enpdu/MK-4. If you come to Bhubaneswar any time, then I would highly recommend this place.
Some of the starters we tried this time :
- Stuffed MUshroom Garlic Pepper
- American Corn
- Cheese Stuff Onion Rings
And then on the main menu we had :
- Vegetable Fried Rice
- Plain / Butter Naan
- Chilli Paneer
- Chicken Latpat
All of this at a price of around INR 1500/- , a little around 20$ - not bad compared to the food quality/price of a five star hotel!!
There were no deserts available on the menu, that the kids wanted, so we had to go our regular place - a baskin robins ice-cream outlet.
Covid has made our life miserable but it was a nice family time spent after a long time. I wish, we get out of this pandemic soon and we go back to normalcy.
