Hola Estimados Foodie-Lovers ❤️✨
Hello Dear Foodie-Lovers ❤️✨
Today I will share with you a family recipe that comes from my beautiful godmother named Dinelia. My aunt makes exquisite cakes and not to mention her ham bread 🥰 It's to hallucinate.
He shared his recipe with me and this is the third year in a row that I have made it for the holidays. This ham bread reminds me a lot of one they sell in an establishment in my hometown called "Express Mall". The flavor, texture and filling is incomparable. I even taught this recipe to the Canarian family I work for and they were very pleased.
In this recipe, I have not modified the dough. But the filling has a few extra things that will give a very special touch to this bread so typical of our Venezuelan gastronomy. Get paper and pencil to write down this spectacular recipe. In the preparation of this recipe, my husband helped me with the kneading.

Preparación // Preparation
Step 1. In a large, deep bowl, place the flour in the form of a volcano and in the center add all the other ingredients of the dough, joining everything with your hands (previously washed and dried). Here begins the kneading process. Integrate very well for about 20 minutes. You will notice a super soft dough that comes off easily.
Step 2. On a clean work surface, place flour and the dough. Cut it into two halves. Then, roll out one of the two parts, in a rectangular shape, with the help of a rolling pin.
Step 3. Once your dough is rolled out, start arranging the filling. Start from the tip or the longest side of the rectangle and then roll it up very carefully. For example, I did one loaf the traditional way with ham, bacon, olives and raisins. The other one, I did the same but I added cream cheese and believe me it looks great. Let both loaves rest for 5 to 10 minutes to let it rise.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees for 5 minutes. Coat the bread with the beaten egg. Then put the loaves in the oven. Bake for 50-60 minutes. Half of the baking time and then the other half I lowered the temperature to 100 degrees to finish and have a perfect finish of the bread. Let it cool and taste.
