Tomato Chutney | Food Fusion | Winter Special cooking!

collage.jpg

You may have heard of chutney, which we usually enjoy with rice. We prepare chutney with different things, like tamarind chutney, green mango chutney ie. But during winter, tomato chutney is the best!

And because I love green peas so I also added some peas to the recipe, which you may not find in the original recipe. You can call it a cooking fusion.

So, here is how I made it!

Vegetable oil, onion, and green chili on the pan.

After, two minutes of frying add tomato slices and some green peas. Add salt, turmeric powder, mix spice powder, and some water. Put the lid on.

Cook it for several minutes until the water goes out and it looks like mashed tomatoes. Add some sugar as per your taste (how much sweetness you want) and remove it from the pan.

You can add coriander, spring onion, a small amount of tamarind, extra tomato sauce. Or you can try something new to bring fusion in your dish.

It's good going with rice, roti or steamed rice cake. Many families love to add this almost every day during winter in their meal. Freshly made tomato chutney really increases appetite.

Try it, you will love the tangy, sweet, spicy taste!
