Traditional Cuisine: Mie Kocok Si Doel in Banda Aceh

Hi everyone. I am back to Foodie Bee Hive Community. I love posting food and drink contents. So, today I am going to post about a traditional cuisine in Banda Aceh, the capital of Aceh Province. The dish is Mie Kocok Si Doel. Mie Kocok is noodle with broth of beef, fried onion, and celery. The origin of Mie Kocok is from Bandung, West Java. And now we could find Mie Kocok every where in Indonesia.

The most delicious Mie Kocok I have ever tried is Mie Kocok Si Doel in Banda Aceh. It’s located just a throw stone from Great Mosque Baiturahman. It’s on the left side of the Mosque on Diponogoro Street. It’s exactly located at the heart of Banda Aceh City.

Usually I enjoy the noodle with a boiled egg and I add some ketchup. The taste of the noodle is absolutely appetizing. I would be just drooling before tasting it.

Frankly, I am seriously recommending the dish for you when you visit Banda Aceh City. Mie Kocok Si Doel is one of the most visited noodle restaurant in Banda Aceh. It’s different to Mie Aceh (Aceh Noodle) which is rich of spices. However, Mie Aceh Si Doel is another delightful dish in the city.

The noodle is favorite. It’s better to visit the restaurant before 12.00 a.m otherwise we won’t get the space.

For the drink, we can order juice and es campur. It’s a perfect combination with Mie Kocok.

As I mentioned earlier that Mie Kocok Si Diel is located just close to Great Mosque of Baituirahman. It’s the look of the mosque.
