Back when I was working in hotels, I was not such a big fan of sandwiches!!!
Now, after couple of years leaving the hotel industry, I am kinda very much interested in all things that we call sandwich!
Let me share some of my most favorite ones that either me or my wife prepared at home recently!
This first one is a homemade beef burger topped with fried egg, avocado, melted cheddar, lettuces, onion, tomato and served with basil mayonnaise and ketchup!
Oh yes...we also had some caramelized onion in the middle! Such a delicious burger!
The 2nd one is with a ciabatta bread and prepared by my wife!
Stuffed with marinated crispy chicken and salad...the special cocktail sauce was to die for! I still remember how good my lunch was that day!
And in the morning...for breakfast...we go for simple crispy garlic toast, spread with fresh butter and cheese!
Great to kickstart your day!
I will call this one a Moroccan Tacos - made by my wife, and very famous as a street food in Morocco!
It was with chicken and eggs - Very delicious indeed!
I enjoyed this one accompanied with a nice fruits salad with yogurt!
This one is a mini 'burger' made with the classic Moroccan bread - Batbout!
The texture of batbout is very soft and light and we put some beef catless(Classic Mauritian snack!) in them and a lot of cheese!
I'll end this post with this open sandwich - like a pizza actually!
Simply plain toast spread with tomato sauce and with the same toppings like a pizza with Mozzarella and tuna...
I let you guess how good this was!
We also made wraps, paninis etc...recently, in fact it is like twice a week we have a type of sandwich for lunch.
Now it has become a habit for us!
