I live near the small luxury town Bryukhovychi, where there are several good exclusive restaurants in the center. And when we come here from the village for groceries, we sometimes go to our favorite "Shpatser"

Spatzer Restaurant is a Bavarian restaurant with a refined atmosphere and original interior, which in itself brings pleasure. But recently there were tables in the yard and we were sitting here for the first time.
This hotel-restaurant always welcomes us. We feel a high level of service. People from abroad always stop here to relax. All rooms are made in a wooden design. And there are many original dishes of Bavarian and Ukrainian cuisine.

That day we came here to eat dessert.
A very gallant waiter approached our table and offered to install an umbrella so that we were not disturbed by the sun! The holiday has begun :)
We decided to order tea and strudel. And we enjoyed the whole process of being there, from the moment we were brought a menu, which is in the form of a newspaper called "Shpatser". Later from the cool look of the teapot and cups in which we were brought tea! After all, we are gourmets and aesthetes :)
And here he is - the unsurpassed Mr. Strudel Shpatser - that's what I called this masterpiece that was brought to us! Thin tender crispy dough, sprinkled with powdered sugar, and inside a lot of stewed fruits and berries!

Strudel is one of the most popular desserts. It is very popular in Lviv and the best cafes have it in their list of desserts! Did you know that his homeland is Austria and Bavaria.
Baking with berries is always a holiday for the soul, a summer luxury delight! Every time I allow myself to order such a delicious dessert in a restaurant, I want to learn how to cook it. And here I finally learned the recipe:

Ingredients:
Vanilla: 1/4 teaspoon
Walnut: 4 pieces
Allspice: 1/8 teaspoon
Berries: 2 cups, Apples, chopped 300 grams
Flour: 1 1/3 cups
Nutmeg: 1/8 teaspoon
Sunflower oil: 2 tablespoons
Sugar: 2 tablespoons
Butter: 40-50 g
4 slices of white bread or croutons
1/8 teaspoon salt
7 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon vinegar

Preparation:
Sift flour with salt. Mix water, oil and vinegar in another bowl.
Add the liquid to the flour and start kneading the dough.
You can use a spoon first, then set it aside, knead the dough until you get a soft, elastic and non-sticky ball.
Put it in a bowl, cover with a cloth and leave for 40-60 minutes.
Dry a few pieces of bun in the oven or use pre-made crackers. Grind together with nuts to obtain a homogeneous crumb.
Defrost the berries, remove excess liquid by placing them on the basket for a while.
You can make only with apples or mix apples with different berries, as you can see in the photo.
If the strawberry is large, cut it into several pieces.
Add alcohol, vanilla, sugar, nutmeg and allspice to the berries.
Roll out the dough a little with a rolling pin and start stretching it to the sides.
It is elastic and stretches well.
Grease the finished layer with oil, sprinkle with chopped breadcrumbs. Spread the filling and wrap the strudel.
Grease the surface with oil and bake until golden brown at 180 ° C.
Serve with a little icing sugar, and also very tasty with ice cream :)

I don't know what I got more pleasure from: the beautiful design of this dessert or the taste and I was happy :) But the main mission was still ahead - to bring here, to sit with us and relax, our 81-year grandfather, who flatly refuses to go to a restaurant. He is not used to spending money on fun!

And so he came in his new jeep to the store, and my daughter Victoria was waiting for him there and she managed to bring him here, because coffee was already waiting for him )))
