My trip to Egypt, noticing their tradition during Lent and celebrating after Lent.
We arrived on vacation while the days of their great fast (Ramadan) were still going on.
During Ramadan, Islamic believers are forbidden to consume any food, drink including water, as well as sexual intercourse and smoking cigars from dawn to sunset, which is somewhat unusual for the temperature, the daily temperature reaches 40 degrees. Without water it is unthinkable but their custom and tradition dictate that, Lent is interrupted at sunset.
Fasting is an exercise in endurance, willpower and faith. A Muslim decides to fast in order to fulfill his obligation to Allah and thus strengthens his character by denying himself the fulfillment of basic human needs: food and drink.
CELEBRATION OF EID:
Eid is celebrated with music, dancing, families exchange gifts and with generous meals they celebrate the welcome of another great Muslim holiday, Eid.
In the hotel where we stayed during the holidays, the celebration was with full buffets of various dishes, salads, fruits and desserts.

The meat, which is in large tin bowls, was mostly chicken, lamb or fish.

Exceptional buffets beautifully decorated with various salads and salad dressings.
Buffet with bread, all kinds from white bread to corn with various delicious seeds.

Fresh fruits, oranges, bananas, grapes, grapefruit and melons look challenging.
My favorite part is dessert, various desserts at these two buffets. From various jellies to various cakes with tropical fruits or various creamy ones.
Hurghada is a beautiful place and one of the most important tourist destinations! The pearl of the Red Sea, a holiday and enjoying the warm sea and sandy beaches. You can also enjoy their traditional cuisine that this place offers.
