Hi culinary lovers, it's great that today I will invite you to make one of my favorite cakes. This cake is my first time trying at home after all this time saving the recipe on my cell phone. Actually, it's not that I don't want or dare to try to make it. However, there are several considerations, namely the process which is quite time-consuming so it takes the right time to try it at home.
Bolen pisang is a banana-based cake that is processed by baking like bread, here bananas are used as a filling material which makes it a combination with chocolate. However, this cake has its own characteristics, namely the processed flour on the outside melts and has a layer of layers that are quite delicious.
Well this first time experiment is quite fun, and I will share the recipe and making procedure with you. Very easy to make and of course with ingredients that you can easily find at home.
To make banana bolen, there are two doughs that must be prepared outer skin dough and inner skin dough. Well the outer skin dough or dough A is usually softer while the inner dough which I usually call dough B has a slightly more oily texture. Actually for those of you who make it for the first time it will take a little time in the process of making this cake. But believe me this is actually very easy without having to wait long like bread in general. Here's a step-by-step look at the preparation!.
First, I will make the outer skin by mixing the flour with milk powder. Then add powdered sugar and stir until evenly distributed.
Add butter and stir until well mixed.
Then add water and stir until it is not sticky to the hands then rest the dough for 10 minutes.
Then mix all the B ingredients, namely flour and margarine, stirring until evenly distributed. Set aside the dough and rest again
While waiting for the flour to rest I prepared the banana filling cutting the banana into two parts.
After the flour is rested, round the two doughs that have been made earlier into 18 pcs of dough or can be rounded according to taste. Well for dough B I rounded a smaller size than B.
Roll out dough A until thin then add dough B on top of it cover dough b with the outer skin, then flatten the dough again.
Next roll out the dough in an elongated shape to finish on all the dough.
After everything is finished it's time to fill the topping, take one dough that has been rounded earlier then flatten the adoann then fill it with banana and also chocolate on top.
Then fold the dough into a rectangle and put it in a pan that has been greased with margarine.
Then give an egg yolk spread on it, and sprinkle with cheese topping and also seres topping.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for up to 30 minutes or adjust to your own oven.
The banana bolen is ready to be enjoyed and served piping hot. Especially enjoyed with family with ice coffee ahh is a perfect match to enjoy with my family. They are very enthusiastic about the cake dish this time, my favorite cake I can make myself and that's the happiest money thing, right?
The first bite when I tried it was unexpectedly melted on the outside, the leyer was perfectly shaped, and most importantly the banana filling was very sweet in addition to the melted chocolate uhhv perfect like the bolen I bought at the bakery.
