Hello, today I will share with you my homemade tomato-pepper paste recipe made with the traditional method. I cook some of the dishes made during the winter using this tomato-pepper paste. You can also use it for breakfast by adding crushed walnuts, garlic and thyme into this tomato-pepper paste. It is delicious and can be eaten on toast for breakfast.
Tomatoes and peppers are washed and cleaned.
Peppers seeds removed.
Tomatoes and peppers are cut
and cooked in a wood fire.Add salt after cooking.When the peppers are soft, they are taken from the wood fire and left to cool.
When cooled, squeezed in a strainer.
Tomato- pepper mix is put on trays.Left in the sun until the water in it evaporetes. When the consistency thickens, it is put into jars and can be used all winter.
