Hi everyone. Good day. I want to use this medium to share some fun moments I had in a friends WhatsApp group. You will also see how photos of what we do can bring back fun memories in future .
I hosted a contest on one of my social WhatsApp groups. The contest was all about posting funny pictures of oneself while eating. In that WhatsApp group, we have schemes and schedules of activities. Mostly, Tuesdays are for food and food related discussions, so I wanted it to be a bit more fun last Tuesday. Me and the admins of the group set a price, and urged everyone in the group to engage in a photo contest, where they will post a funny photo of themselves eating, and invite people in the WhatsApp group to react to their photo. At the end of the day, the owner of the photo with the highest reactions would go home with the price.
It was fun. Here are some pictures that were posted in the contest. I wouldn't want to laugh alone. So I decided to share with you on hive:
This is a fascinating unaware photo of a friend. The shape of her mouth while getting ready to swallow the food shows how tasty the food seemed to be. But sadly, she wasn't the winner of the contest.
A friend posted this, and told us that he was capturing and still waiting for the food to be ready. Imagine the big pots on the fire.
Another friend posted this. He was captured on photo while eating in a disposable pack, some rice and chicken meat. His posture while talking and eating at once made the outlook funny.
Another friend posted this. How can someone be eating this heap of Fried rice and fishes along with bottles of beer. I guess he wasn't alone there.
This was actually the winner of the contest. She was actually eating when the contest was launched, and she told her pupils at school to snap her. She said she was eating one of a native food in Nigeria called fufu(fermented, cooked and pounded cassava) with Egusi(melon) soup.

What made her win the contest wasn't actually how funny the picture is. She took time to engage people in the group in many ways to react to her photo, and she got enough reactions mnore than others. A total of 29 reactions.
For this, I believed that hard work and diligence pays more than anything.
